One doctor who accepts these plans once told me, "If I spend more than 3 to 4 minutes with a patient I'm losing money." Over the last 5 years we have intentionally removed our office from the more abusive plans so that we can focus on the patient and not on the clock. We've made it easier for patients who are on those plans or patients who have no insurance to continue to see us by reducing prices and making them a flat fee.

Services
We want to make our charges as transparent as possible without hidden fees for uninsured patients. We will be posting prices of the majority of surgeries that we perform. These prices have been calculated with hospital and anesthesia charges included. Self paying patient's actual charges are often guess work with surprise bills arriving in the mail after hospital or doctor visits.
We used to. Patients love to ASK for weekend appointments. However, here in South Florida, they tend to find other activities causing them to cancel their appointments so we returned to normal business hours. Better to call for that question. Insurance plans change all the time. Sometimes the doctors contract with an individual company but not an individual plan within that companies plans.
All SELF PAY surgeries include the surgeons fees, hospital or surgery center fees, and anesthesiologist fees. They also include the price of the internal fixation such as screws or plates in most cases. Also listed are prices for patients who have insurances that we do NOT except but that the hospital or surgery center does except.

Dr. Heath is amazing. My father was a diabetic that needed immediate care for his feet. We were recommended by an Urgent Care Physician. The staff was so welcoming to our family. The doctor showed such great concern for my father's recovery. Since visiting the office my father has passed away but I would suggest that anyone in need of podiatry care visit Drs. David and Lilliana Heath; they are the best.

They need to be more professional and clean the office..and the first thing they ask you is the payment be for you go inside..they did a bad surgery on my wife. He put a screw and he say that the screw was going to brake by him self never dit!!!!..we went to a real specialist..now my wife is doing better

I'm leaving 2 stars because after this doctor stopped seeing my father his wound actually completely healed. He came to us highly recommended after a big toe amputation; 2 surgeries later and a half foot amputation and a careless attitude after the last surgery when my father had to go to rehab, we never saw or heard from him again. I called to find out if he would follow up post op since he said he wanted too and never received a call back to even find out how the last appointment went after a half foot amputation. Dr. David Heath embodies many admirable attributes, he has superb knowledge in the field of podiatry, a positive attitude towards his job with integrity, dedication and is always going far above what is require of a doctor to achieve success with complicated cases as that of my husband Carl Catalano who is a Type 2 Diabetic with Liver Cancer. For over five years and numerous doctors Carl’s right foot had a large circular open wound with two types of infections, this lead him as an inpatient at Memorial Miramar Hospital where we met Dr. Heath.

This doctor is by far the best podiatrist. I had bunion surgery done by her and her husband and I cannot thank them enough. They know exactly what they’re doing. I no longer have constant pain and I can finally wear heels! I had a big balance with them that I was not able to pay right away. They helped me out with a reasonable payment plan and I was able to clear my balance making monthly payments. As for her staff they are super welcoming and very nice. They will work with your schedule and make sure you are reminded of your appointment the day before. I had a good experience with Dr. Heath

Quite unfortunate they even have the pleasure of receiving one star. Just left their office after waiting for over 40 minutes (I should also add that I drove over 30 minutes after leaving work 2 hours early). They waited till I showed up to “verify my insurance” to which they could not get confirmation that my share of cost has been met for the month, even though Medicaid has clearly processed and approved me for open Medicaid till the end of the month. I even logged into my FL access account and showed the receptionist girl, and also was on hold with Medicaid myself to offer her confirmation
