Services
The ratio varies with the type of service. We have heard of ratios as close as 2:1 (1 server for every 2 guests) but ratios of 6:1 or 10:1 are more common for plated service. This does not include beverage servers, bartenders, stations attendants or kitchen staff. Selecting your caterer is extremely personal - it is more than just liking their food.

L’etoile Catering is amazing and you will not regret hiring them! They know what they are doing! After we had done a few tastings, we did one with L’etoile and it seriously wasn’t a close competition at all…they blew the other caterers out of the water. We were very proud to have them as our caterers for our wedding. Due to Covid, we moved our wedding a year out from our original date and they were very accommodating in that stressful process of moving everything around. Not only is the food just absolutely incredible, but they are a very professional team. I sent what feels like a million

I've spent almost 15 years in the Event industry. ------ and then I had the opportunity to work with l'etoile----- brilliant Chefs, fantastic staff, well educated and versed on the foods they're serving, and punctual timing on tastings, business aspects and delivery.
If you're in need of a Chef and accomplished Sous, and you're in yhe service area. Look no further, this is the catering for you!

Mark and Vickie of l'etoile are some of the most kind folks I have ever met. They catered my daughter's wedding on November 2 in Crozet and the food was fantastic - but I knew it would be. I had quite a few people come up to me at the wedding commenting how delicious the appetizers and meal was. It was a plated dinner and the service was exceptional and smooth and everyone was very professional. You couldn't ask for better caterers and nicer people.....if you are in the market for caterers, they come highly recommended by me.

After having a fabulous experience with l'etoile catering for my son's bar mitzvah 3 years ago, I knew that I wanted Vickie to provide the food for my daughter's bat mitzvah. She and her team did the kiddush luncheon as well as the Sunday brunch. The food was delicious and the presentations were gorgeous! My daughter's favorite is tomato basil soup and this was some of the best we have ever had. And the chocolate truffles were over the top! We might have hid some for just our family.
The serving staff were attentive yet unobtrusive. Our kitchen looked better after they left than before they started

L'Etoile catered our wedding reception and it was everything I could have asked for. I felt so comfortable knowing that I had Vickie to help organize rentals (glasses, linens, tables, etc), decide how much alcohol to get, set up the space, etc. She truly is a catering expert and was unbelievably helpful with all of our questions/concerns. During cocktail hour, Vickie specifically sought out my husband and I to bring us appetizers and drinks. But most importantly, the food was OUTSTANDING! All my guests were raving about how it was the best wedding food they had ever had. All the meats were juicy

L'etoile did a fabulous job catering our wedding. My husband and I wanted something a little different than the traditional Virginia Southern/farm-to-table menus that you often see at weddings in the area, and Mark and Vickie nailed our vision from start to finish, including developing a delicious Japanese-inspired shrimp appetizer that I'm still hearing about more than a month out.
