Dr. Luce attended the University of Washington to study aeronautical engineering, graduated with a BS in 1987 and went to work for Boeing in Seattle, WA. After way too many meetings, he went back to school to become a veterinarian, graduating magna cum laude from Washington State University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1997.
At Live Oak Veterinary Hospital, we hold ourselves to a higher standard when it comes to our services for our patients and clients. We know the special role that pets play in families and how important it is that they receive high-quality care. That's why we sought accreditation with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in the spring of 2017.
At Live Oak Veterinary Hospital, knowing that you and your pet had the best possible experience at our hospital is important to us. Our core mission is to provide the best care for your furry friends, and to expand our circle of care to as many patients as possible. Our belief in a caring, compassionate world for all animals is strengthened with each new patient.
Pets are like people in a number of ways, including their need for health checkups on a regular basis (at least once a year). These visits allow us to examine pets from nose to tail to ensure they're healthy or to provide treatment if they aren't. Live Oak Veterinary Hospital takes a proactive approach to pet wellness care, which is why we recommend annual wellness exams, as well as dog and cat vaccinations and parasite control.
A pet's dental health is one of the most important components of its overall health, but it's also one of the most neglected. In fact, dental disease is found in more than half of all dogs and cats by the time they're three years old. Periodontal disease-better known as gum disease-can cause a number of health problems for pets if left untreated, including heart, liver, and kidney disease.

They will always say your wrong, cause of there NoTeS, no matter how you speak to them they will make you look like the bad person, if I could I would give them zero stars, and they also record phone calls with out consent. (Fyi) Saturday they also state every where that they open 8am facebook, there website, there front door, but once again your wrong for thinking that cause they open at 9 am and who would know this only them. Cause they don't update anything

Bethany is rude and unprofessional. After speaking to her multiple times about a particular issue there was absolutely no communication or follow up. Upon receiving my cats vet records I noticed her “communication notes.” Her notes were rude, unprofessional, and full of errors. I’m honestly embarrassed for this clinic. Don’t waste your time. You will be happy elsewhere, so will your pets.

Dr. Luce and his team continues to be a pleasure to work with, and provide excellent care for our two dogs. We have had a number of different dogs over the years, and ended up with a number of different basic issue. Each time Dr. Luce and his team have been able to properly identify and solve the issue, quickly, and for a very reasonable price.
I have referred several friends who have actually driven in from out of the area because the quality of service at Live Oak is so much higher than other Vets.
I wish health care for humans could be as well set up as the operation at Live Oak!

Dr. Luce & his staff are phenomenal!!!! Best vet care ever. Very reasonable prices. I like that they have exam rooms exclusively for cats, our cat stays calmer without the scent of dog in the room. The comfort care room is a beautiful & peaceful room if the time comes that you have to say goodbye to your pet family members. Dr. Luce gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. Absolutely love Live Oak Veterinary!!!!
