Tuolumne Veterinary Hospital is a unique combination of experience, modern innovation, and gentle compassionate care for your pets. We also have horses of our own so we have a unique experience of multiple species practice which includes exotic pets, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. Having been a mixed animal practice for over 35 years we have had the opportunity to experience most of the problems seen in Veterinary Medicine.

We are a small rural practice with the ability to make sophisticated diagnosis with our experience and forward thinking modern practice. We make appointments every day 8am to 5pm Mon-Friday, on Saturday, we are open from 8am to Noon. We keep hospitalized pets overnight, but our policy is to send your pet home when you and I both feel comforable with that decision.

Dr. Rubinstein graduated from University of Georgia, in 1977 with Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine with a focus on large and small animal reproduction and surgery.For 37 years, he has continued to develop and expand his expertise which now includes orthopedics and cosmetic surgery.
Our ultrasound capability allows us to see inside the abdomen for disease that may not be seen with x-ray or physical exam. We are able to diagnose heart disease with a specific definitive diagnosis, which enables us to choose medications and treatment best suited for your pets' problem.

We can also diagnose abdominal disease with accurate and measured dimensions of each individual intra-abdominal organ allowing us to give the best treatment or surgery for your pets' condition.Each ultrasound exam is reviewed by Board Certified Radiologists so you can be confident of it's accuracy.
