Services
We work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, we offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your individual needs to help attain the personal growth you are striving for.
We are recognized by the IOWA EIGHTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT for meeting the Co-Parenting and Children in the Middle requirements. Course Description: You will learn skills to protect your children from emotional harm caused by the common conflicts experienced during divorce and separation.

Anger Control: Parents who can control their anger are more likely to engage ex's in a manner that is most likely to lead to amicable results and limit the effects of the separation on their children.Respectful Communication: Studies show that effective parenting after divorce is directly related to parents ability to respectfully communicate with one another.
Is your family going through a rough patch? Whether the issue stems from a lack of understanding between those involved, sibling conflict, or developmental disagreements with a child, a difficult situation can have an effect on the entire family. Family counseling, or family therapy, can be helpful when problems arise and can help restore and improve communication.
Throughout the course of our years, we all experience a loss at some point in our lives. In fact, statistics show that 1 in 5 children will experience the death of someone close to them before 18 years of age. Feelings of grief and loss are not always associated with death, however, but commonly surface after a loss of some kind - whether it is the loss of a loved one, a severed relationship, a pregnancy, a pet, or a job.
Grief is the emotional response to any type of loss. Perhaps of a loved one due to death or divorce, but also the loss of a job, a pet, financial stability, or safety after trauma. Feelings of grief can be overwhelming, and it can be hard to know how to manage and overcome these emotions. It is important to have patience with yourself and others during this process as it is a healthy part of healing.

HEARTLAND PATHWAYS INC. #CARES!
I want Heartland Pathways to receive the good reviews they deserve, but I'm concerned that once everyone in the area knows how GREAT THEY ARE TO WORK WITH, that they won't have room in their schedule for my family members appointments! LOL
