On May 28th I stopped in at City Bike Shop looking for what else but a bike.
I looked and found a bike that I was very interested in. Test rode it and spent
Few minutes talking to Hunter about it.
Hunter informed me that he was a NEW OWNER and just purchased the Business 4 weeks ago.
My take away after trying to buy the bike:
Hunter / City Bike Shop Of Traverse City was not honorable.
Unprofessional behavior, he raised his prices after I said I would buy at his advertised price. He said he had to raise the price due to a shortage of bicycles because of the Pandemic. He had a "Take it

This review is based solely on a bike rental, not a purchase or repair work. I was very pleased with CBS. I reserved a road bike for the M22 Challenge and picked it up the day before the race. It was a perfectly tuned Giant. No problems whatsoever. And although they're closed on Sundays, they were kind enough to lend me a lock and let me return the bike Sunday morning and lock it on their bike rack, all without charging an extra day's rental fee.
I'd definitely recommend this shop.

Best bike shop in the state. Every bike ship is cool because bikes are cool. From a young age that is ingrained into who we are.
A great bike shop isn't just about who has the coolest brands. However to some it might be so look no further, they carry Scott; tip of the spear in MountainBike technology.

So far.... So Good! With no plan of buying a bike we were impressed enough with our first interaction with this bike shop at the Iceman Cometh expo that we bought my wife a new Scott Scale 700 Contessa on the spot and she actually rode the bike in the race the next day! Very nice and willing to make a deal, a much nicer experience than I have received in most of the shops that I have been in previously.
