While alcohol may not get the same attention from the media that other substances receive, alcohol use disorder remains an issue in Norfolk County. According to county health rankings, 21% of adults in Norfolk County engage in heavy or binge-drinking on a regular basis. The issue of opiate addiction is impossible to ignore.
Its prevalence over the last few decades has impacted numerous lives and torn communities apart. At East Coast Recovery Center, our community-based approach to addiction treatment can provide you or a loved one with the tools they need to recover from opiate use disorders. Cocaine is one of the most psychologically addictive substances there is, second only to methamphetamine.

Alcohol is the most widely accepted intoxicant across the globe, from both a cultural and legal perspective. It has played an important role in culture since the dawn of humanity and, in modern times, there are many reasons why someone may drink. Celebration, socialization, and relaxation are all culturally acceptable reasons for drinking.
Of all of the substances that can cause addiction, cocaine is perhaps the most glorified in popular media. The reality of the drug is far more sinister than portrayed by popular images of rock stars and Hollywood elite indulging as a sign of wealth and glamour. The impact of cocaine trafficking extends far beyond movie stars, wreaking havoc on the streets of cities all across the country.
Within the last couple of decades we've seen the rise of the drug fentanyl grab media attention due to its increase in popularity as both a powerful painkiller prescribed by doctors as well as a widely-distributed intoxicant street drug. To better understand what makes this particular drug so dangerous, it's important to learn about what the drug is and how it affects its users.

When I came to ECR I was broken physically and mentally. I was desperate for help and knew that rehab was my last chance. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to the whole team for caring for me and helping me to recover and become sober. During my difficult times and rock bottom they taught me tools to help rebuild myself and work on my own personal issues. The therapists took time with each of us to really listen and explain things in a different light to what I initially thought, about myself, about my past experiences and also about my addiction. I had already took a step into the fellowship

I had the privilege of going to to east coast recovery in January 2020. the reason I chose ecr was because most of there team had been in recovery themselves and who’s better to learn from then someone that has actually been though this themselves. The team was amazing they made me so comfortable I was able to share a lot of stuff about myself that I would never tell a soul. This was key to my recovery letting go of my past. They gave me all the tools that I needed to change my life for the better. Even when I graduated from Ecr they kept in contact I wasn’t forgotten and iv made a lot of life

Horrific experience!!! I very rarely write reviews for anything, be it good or bad, however what i experienced at ECR is some of the worst, most unethical, unqualified treatment i have ever seen.. i paid nearly £8000 for 3 weeks treatment, my key worker was a 24 year old, non addict, who 3 months ago was working in an old peoples home, or something similar, wildly unqualified to be dealing with peoples survival, and also in the time i was there, if i spent more than 45 minutes with her on a 1-1 basis, ill be very surprised..
I will go as far as to say this place is a con, its not a treatment

Arrived at ECR in a mess. Just got out of prison and did not know who to turn to on how to beat my alcohol addition. The program here really works as it is based on the AA 12 steps and 12 principles. The group atmosphere was rigorous, but honest. The treatment brought out emotions and feelings that other treatment centers failed to do. I owe my life to the staff and workers of ECR.

I arranged for my son to go to ECR as his situation became hopeless, "dayhab" didn't work and his GP did nothing but prescribe medication. Initially we arranged a 4-week stay but we decided to extend this to 12 weeks because he was benefiting so much from the 12-step programme. He has now completed the course and is rebuilding his life with the tools he has been given. We found the weekly zoom meetings hosted by ECR for family members most helpful in trying to understand his situation and the remedial treatment. In summary, I do not think that he could have been in a better place.

Originally I was supposed to stay at ECR for 2 weeks but once I started working the programme, I couldn't believe how beneficial it was and ended up staying for 2 months which has been the most amazing experience of my life. The staff were on hand 24/7 when I was struggling, went above and beyond to see to my needs. The therapy sessions have transformed my way of thinking which have changed not only my life, but the life of my loved ones. I cannot recommend ECR enough to anyone struggling with addiction as it will not only show you the solution for addiction, but will show you a whole new way of

Just finished a 3 month treatment here and can honestly say this place has saved my life, having gone from being a suicidal drug addict to feeling the best i can remember ever feeling. I now have all the tools, taught to me by ECR to go out and live my life to the fullest. Most the staff are ex clients in recovery who have been through it all and couldn't be more invaluable. Call them NOW!

ECR saved my life. I have just finished 8 weeks of treatment. Since admissions I could not have felt more cared for. The support staff, the admissions team and the doctors make you feel instantly cared for and are ready to answer any questions you have. The days are well thought out, structured & disciplined to bring everyone together & bring the best out of everyone. I've never experienced a more empowering treatment program and therapy. I have learned so much about myself & with the help of ECR I can now say that I love the person that I am becoming. The therapy is the best I have ever had which

This review is following my son having spent 28 days at ECR for alcohol rehab. All teh staff we contacted/spoke too were clearly passionate about helping others on their road to recovery and the aftercare weekly family meets are very informative and useful. Would definitely recommend this facility to others considering rehab, for either themselves or a loved one
