Services
Southern's PowerPouch series of intermittent motion (IM) packagers and intermittent motion funnel (IMF) packagers are built on a foundation of product expertise combined with robust design, durable construction and quality components. Equipped with servo controllers for precise motion control, our line of packagers offers a high-performing, pouch packaging solution.
Our PowerPouch machines have the capabilities to seal pouches in a variety of different ways including various pouch sizes and styles. The standard PowerPouch design comes equipped with eight different pouch styles. The PowerPouch IM packager is capable of sealing pouches in a variety of different ways.
The PowerPouch(R) packager can be outfitted with a broad range of filling systems to accommodate Powders, Granules, Liquids, Creams, Tablets, Towelettes, Candies, Nuts, and Particulates. The standard design can accommodate a variety of different types of fillers mounted on a single machine. This unique capability allow sequential filling of multiple ingredients as well as the versatility and flexibility to package a wide range of products.
This option replaces the traditional pouch conveyor chain guides on Southern's PowerPouch and most similar HFFS machines. This consists of an aluminum base with brass insert wear guides that are easily removed when replacing worn chain guides. The high-speed Funnel Conveyor option increases speed up to 50 percent on IM-7 series machines as it replaces traditional vacuum openers with a funnel conveyor that indexes with the pouch conveyor.
