Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Down on the Farm Preschool and Child Care provides families with three choices all located in Pinckney, Michigan. As a working parent in higher education, understanding the value of an education is a top priority.

We are frequently questioned about daycare options by other new parents. Without hesitation (and sometimes without being asked), I always share how lucky we are to have Down on the Farm where our two children, Stella and Athan have attended the last four years. The experience they receive is one of a kind.
Services
Our mission at Down on the Farm Preschool and Childcare Centers is to provide children with a welcoming, safe and nurturing interactive environment where children can foster their natural curiosity and become lifelong learners through direct hands-on nature adventures indoors, outdoors and through farming experiences.
At Down on the Farm, it is our goal to provide a learning environment that supports children to develop skills necessary to construct their own knowledge, prepare them for the next stage of development and encourage them to become life-long learners.

We support Developmentally Appropriate Practices which means that our curriculum meets the cognitive, emotional and physical needs of children based on child development theories and observations of children's individual strengths and continuing areas of progress. We believe that through daily observations of the children's interests and development we can plan our curriculum to be intentional and purposeful with a goal in mind.
Young children learn by doing. They acquire knowledge about their world through meaningful interaction with objects and people. Children are motivated to learn by their own desire to make sense of their world. Our curriculum approach is based on the philosophy of the HighScope Educational Research Foundation.
We are getting ready to kick off another awesome summer at DOTF Summer Camp! We have many hands on experiences that will keep the children physically active and having fun! Please bring a lunch with 2 snacks, a water bottle, sunscreen, bathing suit and towel, change of clothes (optional).

Some experiences will include: Animal care and handling, barn fun, games, sport activities, nature investigating, crafts, gardening, daily themes, *field trips, and more.
Down on the Farm began in 2005 in the home of Keith and Jenny Chambers. An addition was added onto the family's centennial farmhouse to provide space solely for the child care. The Baby House is licensed for 12 children with the focus being on infants and toddlers, 6 weeks to age two. Our little ones are provided the opportunity to visit the barn and farm animals on a daily basis during the warm months.

What im trying to say is that this is a very nice, loving place and you should bring your children there.
