Good prices but not that friendly. I went to pick up my bike when it was raining and the guy seemed annoyed that he would get wet helping me load it in. He said it wouldn't fit in my prius (I told him that I brought it there in the car) and he "wanted to help me load it in but didn't want to get wet" and he didn't think it would fit so I told him I would just do it myself. I got it loaded myself. For all other bike needs I've gone to ride bikes and they've been great, super helpful, friendly and cheap!

I had a 1970's Boss restored here and I bought a new seat off the wall and was charged another $5 to "install" the seat. They did a great job but will milk you for every dime.

This is a great example of what a bike shop should be! Very friendly and welcoming staff who are passionate and knowledgeable. They are genuine - would never sell you stuff you don’t need or take advantage of people who don’t know about bikes. Highly recommend!

Went there for a flat repair & new chain on older Schwinn bike. Had to bring back for same tire flat. Later, the chain popped again & I wasn't bringing it back to same store. I got better service from different shop. Trek fixed an easily noted wobble in front chain sprocket. Plus it is a VERY grumpy staff. One time waiting they dissed a family that was in there buying a bike. Never dismiss a customer in front of another customer. This bike shop will do in a pinch.

Yesterday I dropped by Charleston Bicycle Company for a quick adjustment of my bike. When I pulled up I saw a sign that asked me to call a phone number so I could stay in the parking lot. Jeff the owner came out. He was wearing a mask, as was I. I thanked him for considering my safety. He in turn thanked me for respecting the safety of his shop staff. We discussed my bike and he took it back into the shop for a quick fix. It’s a super professional and efficient shop. Jeff is a smart and caring business owner. Check them out for all your bike needs!

I will not go back!
First I have to acknowledge the fact their selection of bikes and parts is amazing... With that said, I have never been treated with so much blatant contempt. My business today was to ask for some guidance buying bike parts. After 15 minutes of trying to get basic information about the replacement parts I needed I had to leave empty handed because the person "helping" me only wanted to argue.

The quality of the repair (pretty extensive: rear derailleur was broke, new chain) was great, it rides so smoothly now.
Wait time and cost quotes were misleading: 2.5 wks instead of 2 and price jumped from $150 at the estimate to $198 at check out though scope of work stayed the same as discussed initially.
When reading owner's responses to low rated reviews, I was surprised how rude and even mocking they were. That is neither acceptable nor civil. Any customer has a right to express their experience with a business. Replies in a personal vendetta-like manner doesnt build a good rapport for the

I went to this bike shop on the recommendation of a friend who said “they aren’t sales-y”, and I’m so glad I did. I worked with Jeff, who was quick to ask the right questions about what I wanted from a bike and what kind of riding I would be doing. Ended up buying a beautiful men’s bike that needed different handlebars and a women’s seat, and Jeff replaced those and shortened my cables with no extra charge. I also bought one of their bike racks that they were happy to install and make sure I knew how to fasten my bike securely. Can’t recommend these guys enough!
