Dr. Hooper is a native to Virginia and the Virginia Beach area. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA where he graduated Magna cum lade. His love for learning and the dental field didn't stop there.
He went on to complete a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and soon after got involved in the dental community as an international speaker and published author. Dr. Hooper lectures internationally at major meetings, including ADA, Hinman, Greater New York, California, Virginia, Yankee, & UBC.

I am TERRIFIED to go to the dentist and often hold off on teeth maintenance for years at a time. After 2 years, I had to have a dreaded cavity filled. Dr. Warfield (guessing dr hooper's partner) was incredibly patient, understanding, and GENTLE after sharing my anxiety and my needing to be re-numbed several times due to low pain tolerance. Quick appointment scheduling and availability too. So grateful for the whole staff at Hooper Dentistry!

If I could give them 10 stars I definitely would! I walked in there with such a hideous smile. let alone neglecting my teeth for such a long time. They made me feel relaxed treated me with so much kindness and when I left that office I had a bright beautiful smile and not to mention I was missing my front tooth for a while now and left with a totally different and amazing look! If you need a cool dentist you should check out Doctor Hopper as he walks in a good mood with his little pup into the office.
I have only been coming for about a year but the office is also clean and the staff is just as friendly as the Doc.
He has an up beat personality which helps when doing work on your teeth.
I was there yesterday to put in my new crowns and he is very sensitive and makes you feel comfortable as you set in the nightmare of a chair that is the "DENTIST CHAIR"
I mean let's me honest, who likes going to the dentist.
I also must add that during the Covid-19

I have been going to Dr Hooper for several years. He is an outstanding dentist. I have several caps on some of my teeth (mostly due to sports injury) and his expertise is second to none when I have had to replace them due to age. His staff is also top notch and they provide outstanding service and are always cheerful and enjoy taking care of their patients!

Dr. Hooper is a great dentist, a lot of experience but I felt like not very welcome, weird feeling.
I am from Mexico City and the assistant that was helping him also speaks Spanish so I felt more comfortable speaking my own language with her. Dr. got mad and told her to don't speak spanish, just English saying that I was able to speak English, He was rude with us.
I think it's an additional service if the staff can speak spanish, so I don't understand why he didn't let us speak our language.

My mother-in-law, wife, and I have been going to Dr. Hooper's office for several years. Between the 3 of us, we have challenged him with all kinds of issues from broken/cracked teeth to fillings to routine cleanings. His primary incentive is to save the tooth! He and his excellent staff are always professional, but cheerful. We find him to be resourceful with a gentle touch.

Love this office! I was a dental assistant for several years at another practice in the area and was so happy to find dr hopper and his team! I have referred many friends to Dr Hooper and everyone has enjoyed their experience as well. His front staff is very inviting and easy to talk with. Super professional, clean and happy environment! Can't wait to bring my babies for their first visit!

Dr. Hooper and his staff are wonderful. I "married" into this practice when my husband and I got married in 2014. In 2015 we had a little girl and when she was 6 months old we started bringing her in for wellness checks.
Not only do I have a wonderful experience every time I walk through the door, everyone knows me on a first name basis and my daughter is now almost 3 and will walk right in and sit in the chair for a cleaning.
It makes me feel so positive about her future oral health and I definitely have the staff and his staff to thank!

I was extremely pleased with my visit to Dr. Hooper's office. I mainly came here because I saw their ad on TV where they still took military insurance. I went in thinking it would be the normal they would tell me what was wrong and then refer me to 3 other people to fix it because that's what happened at the last place I went to and they also wanted to charge me an arm and leg, but not with Hooper. He came in gave me my options and said whatever you want to do we can get you fixed up and out today. I was shocked! I agreed to the price and such because it was the best price I had been

I would rate Dr. Hooper to be the best dentist I ever met. He was extremely gentle when performing my extractions, patient , kind, and had a good sense of humor. His staff is top rate, make you feel at home and at ease. I have never experienced this at any other dentist, I would recommend him to everyone. The only thing I would change is the location of his office.

Dr. Hooper and his staff are the best. He offers personalized service, and genuinely cares about each of his patients. I had a dental emergency after hours on a holiday weekend, and his staff attended my needs, arranging to see me within an hour of my calling in. This is typical of Dr. Hooper and his entire staff. If you are seeking a caring dentist and staff, instead of the "Dental Factories" that are so common, then check him out. Really.

I have now also found the most incredible dentist, thanks to a recommendation by some good friends!! I love him!
