Got to the Bass Island Trailhead only to realize my rear tire had blown out. Super disappointed. Good thing Fifty West was right around the corner. I have a 1980s Raleigh steel frame road bike. We headed to the shop, parked easily in their designated spots, and were helped right away. On a Wednesday evening, it seemed most people were there for the brewery so the shop was pretty mellow. Dave was our mechanic and was super respectful, helpful, and taught me a lot about my bike, what went wrong, why it went wrong, and provided solutions. He went above and beyond my expectations, and did not patronize

Honestly, the most unfriendly experience I've ever had at a shop. I get that it's COVID, but the door is blocked with only a small slit opening, the guy stood in the middle of the room (nowhere near the door) making hand gestures at me. I explained what I needed (a tube) and what size and he said they didn't have it. Didn't check or anything. And it showed it online as available in store. No explanation, nothing. Just "we don't have it" as he stood there in the middle of the room staring at me with his mask on. Won't go back. I'd travel a little further for friendly service before I go there again

I like 50 West bike shop. I think the sales and service are excellent. I purchased a Trek bike from 50 West and delivery and assembly of the bike was on time and perfectly done. I've also used 50 West for service on my bikes. 50 West are excellent mechanics and I'm comfortable and trust the work they do on my bike.

Had my 1980's racing Trek serviced and also had parts replaced on multiple visits. They are great at their core business, which is selling/servicing Trek bikes for adults, new and old.
This is not (currently) the place to go for your kids' bike you bought somewhere else and need help with the training wheels. Their selection almost entirely Trek, with a few other high-end exceptions.
They do rent bikes too - as they are located at the start of the Loveland bike trail (about 12 miles from Loveland one-way), but don't go here expecting shop focused on first time, occasional riders looking to rent

Thomas is absolutely the best bike mechanic in Cincinnati. He's squeezed me into his busy schedule to put on new tubes and tires, and made adjustments to my bike to give me the best, most comfortable and efficient ride possible. Fifty West is a great cycle company and Thomas makes it even better. 6 stars from me!

Visited 9-3-18 The most unfriendly bicycle shop I have ever visited. Two guys working there never even acknowledge me. I was the only person in the shop. Tried to talk to them. Both had bad attitudes. Feel like I was bothering them. They were to good to talk to me. I would never buy anything from them. Find a good friendly shop to buy your bicycles and accessory's from.

David is the only mechanic in this area that can get my biked tuned up the way I like it. I have tried many other local shops, not to say they were poor quality, but not to the level I have found at Oakley. Kathy also does a great job at getting you set up on the bike properly, taking into account your fitness level, goals, flexibility, etc. My physical therapist actually recommended that I get my fit from her for this reason. I would highly recommend this shop to any level athlete.
