The building was owned by my mother and father. They generously offered me half of the building to establish a location for the business. As business grew so did my need for expansion. My first location was less than 400 sq ft and was by myself. I now operate in a space just over 2500 sq ft and manage 12 employees.

I got Kitty Chavarria’s name from a neighbor, spoke with her on Feb 26, and emailed my homeowners renewal info to her that day. After no response, I emailed her on Mar 17 that I’d let my neighbor know she didn’t respond. To this this she replied she needed my renewal information (which was included in the email trail she replied to!). Completely unprofessional and apparently inept.

I opened a policy with SMI 2 years ago, my policy just went up 20%. I called my agent left a message and never heard back. I called again, this time got her on the line, she said she would check other options and get back to me, over a week later and no call back? Now I need to spend my time looking for other coverage. I never had to file a claim, but would expect them to be no better when you need them.
