Laying between the Sangre de Cristo and Collegiate Peak mountain ranges, the course is at 7000 feet above sea level and you can enjoy a day of golf without breaking a sweat in our high altitude, low humidity environment within 15 miles of the Continental divide.
The national forests of Colorado are a God given natural treasure for adventure and to explore. Our Monarch, Colorado Vacation Home is located right is the middle of the San Isabel National Forest with 1,120,233 Acres. This national forest contains 19 of Colorado's 14ers, including MT Elbert, the highest point in the state.
A 14ers is a mountain peak with an elevation of at least 14,000 feet. The Colorado Geological Survey says there are 59 peaks that exceed 14,000 feet in elevation in Colorado. Colorado has the most of any single state. Many peak baggers try to climb all fourteeners in the contiguous United States, one particular state, or another region.
