There are lots of Home Care Agencies: Choose wisely...
I met with the owner of Elite Eldercare PDX. The hourly rate she quoted via email was "4 hour minimum @$35/hr". At the meeting she quoted "4 hour minimum @$50/hr. I expressed disappointment that she did not disclose the "actual rate" and asked her to leave. Had she provided the higher rate via email I would not have agreed to meet with her. Instead I felt I was being pressured into signing an agreement.
Misquoting the fee and hour rates may have been unintentional. There services may be good, but it is difficult to entrust an agency to care

Elite Eldercare PDX managed to provide my ailing parents with caregivers during the caregiver shortage many agencies were experiencing. I have personally worked directly for the owner and CEO Elisa. She took me under her wing and trained me herself, sparing me many expensive cost. She showed me PPE and was very hands on with all of us on COVID compliance. And I passed my test with flying colors. She showed me how important caring for our elders is, how rewarding, and fulfilling it is. At one point she came by to check on her client and myself and saw I wasn’t feeling good and took over my shift for me. Allowing me to take the week off and rest. Elite Eldercare PDX is managed by a very caring and down to earth people. Elisa, the manager, is one of the most caring people I have come across. People can be taught how to safely transfer a patient from bed onto a wheelchair. People can learn how to assist a senior with personal hygiene.
