Dr. Michael Zmoos has been in practice for over 30 years in the Cedar Rapids area and has extensive training in orthopedics. He is also certified in acupuncture. Dr. Ethan Zmoos joined the practice in 2008. He has specialized training in soft tissue treatments such as active release techniques. We specialize in treating disc bulges and herniations non-invasively and use a variety of approaches that are tailored to your specific needs.
We utilize decompression tables and class IV laser therapy along with adjustments to treat a variety of conditions including arthritis, sprains and strains, chronic pain, car accidents, work injuries, foot conditions and more. Our practice accepts cash, check, and major credit cards. We will be more than happy to submit your insurance forms for you, and we accept most major insurance providers. Please call our office to verify whether your specific insurance plan is accepted. Payment plans and schedules can be discussed upon request.
You know that your body is controlled by your brain, but the spinal cord and vast network of nerves that carry its messages are just as important. When this system is not functioning at its peak, your body's overall performance suffers. In the chiropractic world, we don't use drugs to treat our patients.
If you know you will be standing for an extended period, make sure that you wear supportive shoes and make sure you know how to keep good posture. Good posture is the key to a healthy spine. Keep your chin up and your shoulders back. Keep both feet about shoulder--width apart. Make sure that you are getting up every 30 minutes to stretch, even if you just walk around for a few minutes.
We attempt to take out as much of the "insurance hassle" as possible for you. We'll happily telephone your insurance company to verify your coverage benefits. Please remember, however, that the benefits quoted to us by your insurance company are not a guarantee of payment. We will file your claim and await payment for 90 days.

Dr Zmoos (both of them) cares about my health and about me as a person. My husband and I have been going to Zmoos Chiropractic for over 10 years and have taken our children as they have needed. There is a family feel from the ladies at the front desk all the way through the conversations after adjustments.

After a weekend of severe pain, I called hoping to get an appointment. They got me in as soon as I could get there. I came in using two canes; I left barely needing one. I was assessed, educated, given options and was treated with respect. I am ever grateful for the time and attention Dr. Ethan and the staff gave me that day. I no longer need any cane. Continued treatment has kept me pain-free.

The doctors and staff at Zmoos Chiropractic are very helpful and personable. I have lower back issues and I needed a new Chiropractor in CR and I found Zmoos. I went for my first adjustment with them and I was paid attention to and listened to from the moment I stepped in their office. My wife and I have been going to Zmoos for almost a year now and the difference is incredible. The staff are always very friendly and inviting, and Dr. Ethan is very helpful and great at listening to what is really going on or causing pain.
Aways a quick in and out visit as well, my wife and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be taken back to a table for our adjustments. I would highly recommend Zmoos for your chiropractic needs.

Zmoos Chiropractic Center is a place you can feel comfortable coming to. Friendly happy staff take good care if you. I have been coming for 10 yrs or so and would recommend them for any Chiropractic needs. Hurting backs, strained muscles, or injuries will be taken care of professionally. They are wheelchair accessible and have a parking lot. Dont hesitate to come to this great place!

I hit the jackpot today! I woke up with the worst imaginable neck pain this morning. So bad that I didn't know if I could lift my toddler out of his crib.
I called mid-day and they squeezed me in the same day!!!
The office is great. Carrie at the desk was so sweet. I had to bring my son with me since this wasn't planned. My toddler sat at the front with Carrie while they took x-rays. I think he had a lot of fun with her lol.
Doc Ethan did his magic and I can't believe how much better I feel already. I've seen a handful of chiropractors and I have to say I am very impressed

I've been getting adjustments by Ethan over the time I've lived in Cedar Rapids and my neck and back feel so much better. I experience nerve pain sometimes up and down my back. With the adjustment and stretches he's completely gotten the nerve to release. Thank you so much for the help! Never felt better! I also bought a new pillow from Zmoos to help my neck when I sleep! I would highly recommend Ethan for adjustments and ask him about the pillows they sell!

I really enjoyed my visit to see the Zmoos. I've been chiropractoring off and on since I was a little kid and hadn't ever visit the Zmoos.
The place was nice and bright and I was met by the nicest lady at the desk. Anyone who is willing to actually talk to me instead of just treating me like a number is great. I got great care and was genuinely impressed with Dr Zmoos. Chiropractors can be weirdos. I mean, most of the ones I've met kind of are, but this guy didn't once make me think he was going to break me while adjusting me. Something I can't say about everyone in town
