My wife, Christy Lyons (non licensed), and I are the owners of Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill.
I was raised in Newport, TN, but have been a part of the Church Hill community for over 30 years. My wife Christy is a native of Church Hill. She is the daughter of Pat and Lora Lyons. She also has a sister, Shanna Lyons. We have owned the funeral home since 2018, but I have worked here since 1986 with Mr. H.L. Johnson.

Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home has been providing dignified care and compassion to the families we serve through our dedicated staff members since 1946. Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home has the tradition of being a family-owned and operated business and each family we serve is treated with the proper care during their deepest time of need.
Isaac C. Wilson and his wife Maxie established the funeral home in Church Hill, Tennessee in 1946. Mr. Wilson, World War II veteran, purchased the Dr. Powers' Homeplace on Maple Street. Dr. Power's Homeplace become a historical beacon to the community from the center point of location to the services provided.

Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).

When my Dad passed this year unexpectedly, I truly had no idea what I was going to do or needed to do to plan a service. All of the Staff but especially Hunter, Jason, Brian and Grace were the BIGGEST help to my brothers and I. I went in to this place terrified and nervous and knowing no one. I left with a heavy weight lifted off of my shoulders and gained, what I would consider, new friends/family. I highly recommend this facility to anyone having to make arrangements for a loved one. When my daughter passed away Brian and Hunter went above and beyond anything we ever expected. They helped us with genuine care and compassion through the whole process and the procession for my babygirl was beautiful and I know she would of been happy to see all the family and friends she had to see how wonderful it really was. They made her truly look like the little angel she was and I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for my family and baby girl. We miss her everyday but I know that they did the best in taking care of her and preparing her for resting place.
