All students have the right to, and deserve, an education that prepares them for the post-secondary success of their choosing. We educate and graduate students who haven't found success in a traditional high school and have dropped out or are at risk of dropping out. Promise Academy is a free, public high school conveniently located in downtown Cleveland, on Superior Avenue.

Promise Academy students have access to a flexible curriculum of electronic coursework combined with the guidance of fully licensed teachers. This approach is uniquely designed to help our students graduate. Whether you are just a couple of courses away from graduation or need a complete high school program, Promise Academy can help.

We are a free, public high school that offers students a flexible path to achieving their high school diploma. Promise Academy's board of directors is composed of local community leaders who are committed to helping the youth of Cleveland succeed in life. Promise Academy is looking for volunteers and community members to support our school and students. All board meetings are held at Promise Academy, 1701 E. 13th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113 and begin at 6:00 PM.
The faculty and staff at Promise academy are dedicated to providing an educational experience as unique as you are. Dr. Jeffrey Jaroscak joined Promise Academy as Executive Director in March of 2021. Dr. Jaroscak brings 33 years of experience in public education. He grew up in Euclid, Ohio and graduated from Euclid High School.
Promise Academy is a public high school. As a Community School, Promise Academy operates under the authority of the Ohio Department of Education and is basically the same as any other public school in Ohio. To be clear, Promise Academy awards high school diplomas (not a GED or Certificate of Completion).
Promise Academy awards high school diplomas to students aged 15-21 that have not been successful in the traditional high school setting. It is important to remember that Promise Academy students graduate with a high school diploma (not a GED or certificate of completion) that will qualify them for higher education, admission to trade school, the military, or the world of work.
