When things go awry on the job or during your favorite activity, it's your overall health that can suffer. From arthroscopic repairs to total joint replacements, Hamptons Physical Therapy will get you back on your feet. Physical therapy is relatively straight forward after an injury or surgery. It essentially comes down to reducing inflammation and improving range of motion and strength in the joint or effected area.
We are heavily focused on manual therapy combined with functional strengthening to return you to your activities. Our affiliations are with many of the leading local and NYC-based orthopedic surgeons who use us to help their patients get the most optimized outcome possible and we have been around the industry long enough to know what works and what doesn't.

I have played many different types of sports and have stayed active my whole life. Currently my main sports are surfing, snowboarding, soccer and being a dad - which is a tougher sport than most! With activity comes the inevitable injuries, which I have sustained my fair share of over the years. That being known, I understand what is required to recover and get back to what I want to do.

When you experience pain from the injury, the surrounding muscles and tissue weaken immediately. The pain is ultimately shutting down the surrounding muscles through inhibiting the movement in the area - the body's solution to "protect" the injured site. However this protection is only good for so long.
During your hospital stay, there are nurses and doctors around making you feel a bit more at ease, but when you come back to the quiet of your home it's a totally different story. The feeling of being all alone after a surgery is frightening, and understandably so. You aren't quite sure exactly what the doctor said or what to do.

Impossible to contact. I was injured and my doctor referred me here. I called three times. Two of these times I spoke (for a few minutes!) to an actual human who said "the scheduler" would be back soon and would call immediately. Maybe they are closed, maybe too busy or not taking new patients - but they should say so rather than let people who need to get treated wait.

Hamptons Physical Therapy is a private facility. I have been dealing with George through my recovery from 2 separate surgeries. I had a capsulary release on my shoulder and a menisectomy in my knee. George had me moving very quickly after both surgeries.
You get one one one attention here and only deal with George. He always makes sure to give you some home exercises to do when you are not seeing him.
He's great at what he does. Would highly recommend to anyone who is having surgery for post-op rehab.
