This is hands down one of my top ten places I've ever stayed. Been wanting to stay for years and it didn't disappoint in any way or form. The units are immaculately maintained and decorated with exquisite midcentury furniture (that you dream of owning yourself). But the midcentury style does not mean they scrimp on modern luxuries. The kitchen and bathroom is fully stocked with all the latest goods and products of any high end contemporary home. You have everything you need to stay as long as you can!... Just wait until you wake up in the most perfect midcentury unit by one of America's finest

What a beautiful place! I had the honor of officiating a wedding here and the owner made everything run smooth. This really is a hidden gem, if you think 'this can't be the way' it definitely is, its hidden in a residential neighborhood.
Once you walk through the gates you are literally in a different world. You can not see any of the neighborhood from inside the walls nor hear anything beyond. I love that they closed/locked the gate once everyone arrived (as a mom with 3 littles running around I like closed gates) The landscape is wonderful, there are huge trees that catch the desert wind and

Yesterday (9/25/21) around 2:30pm, we were met with one of the rudest receptions I have ever experienced in my life. An architect friend and my partner arrived at the property and asked for the manager to arrange a walk around the property to consider it for a wedding anniversary party. A woman approached barking orders at staff that appeared to be caterers, telling them they were ‘letting strangers in;” she then approached us and asked what we wanted; and we politely asked about a tour. She said, “no, we don’t do that” and muttered something about people not touring vacation rentals

The Lautner compound is as beautiful as the pictures make it look. The only problem we had is that some of the windows (at least in the 'Bachelor Pad' room) have no blinds, so the sun is directly in your eyes at 7:30am (they do provide sleep masks, but I don't exaggerate when I say that the sun is DIRECTLY in your eyes, so the sleep masks don't help much). If you're a light sleeper or hoping to sleep in this probably isn't the best place to stay.

The Lautner Compound was one of the first venues we researched on our hunt for the perfect wedding venue and the second we saw it we knew it was perfect for us! As our search continued we realized nothing else compared and The Lautner had set the bar for us!
We were absolutely thrilled when we visited and saw that everything was even more beautiful and stylish than even the photos could express. We immediately hooked and are so very happy that we made the choice to go with it!
Tracy the owner was a delight through the whole planning process. She helped us with all our questions and was responsive

We stayed here for 3 nights in the "Hideaway Suite". It was incredible. The architecture, of course, the management will keep us coming back. The property is about 20 minutes from the busyness of Palm Springs, which we enjoyed. Tracy went above and beyond to accommodate us and communicated perfectly.
There is a wall around the property to protect from wind, and the cold plunge pool was perfect. We enjoy nesting and keeping to ourselves and although there are shared common areas, we were able to do this no problem.
The kitchenette has everything you need, and the outdoor barbecue and fire pit

Amazing place. Beautiful structure and very cool architecture. The place was clean, comfy, and had a great desert scene surrounding the whole living space. It was well equipped and had all the amenitities one needs to be comfortable. Comfy queen sized bed, could have been a king, available with ac. I would definitely stay there again.

This is an exceptional little Jewel beautifully preserved and restored. A chance to live in great architecture by a world master. Honesty of materials. Friendly owner. She can tell you all about the architecture. Each unit is different yet similar. Very private quiet retreat. You should bring in your own food to stay here as there is not good service and no close places to get food. This would be a great retreat as a romantic getaway, writers retreat, artist retreat. Very private.

The Lautner is an amazing gem of a place. It's a pristine modern masterpiece that is totally cozy and has everything you need for a short getaway or an extended stay. My wife and I stayed there this past week during a hiking trip in Palm Springs/Joshua Tree. Our contact Tracy was beyond accommodating and very responsive to anything we needed. The location is amazing, the space itself is special, and everything inside is more than sufficient. We loved the bed, the sitting area, kitchen and starry view from our pillows. Only suggestion I'd make is a couple pairs of spa slippers since the floor in
