Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. It is characterized by blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and sometimes cysts. Research links acne to rising hormone levels during puberty, causing the oil glands in the skin to become larger and produce more oil. Openings in the skin's surface become blocked, which allow bacteria to grow and irritate the skin.
If you have acne or suffered from acne in your youth, you are not alone. Acne is one of the most common skin diseases in the U.S., affecting an estimated 60 million people across the country. Acne causes inflammation in the lower layer of the skin, called the dermis. It is characterized by clogged pores, whiteheads, blackheads, and cysts.
As we age, our hands lose plumpness and the skin becomes thinner, making tendons, veins and joints appear more visible. The texture of the skin may develop a tissue-like appearance, and age spots are often prevalent as well. In cosmetic medicine today, there is increasing attention being paid to resolving these conditions and restoring a more youthful color and appearance to the hands.
The most common types of vascular birthmarks are port-wine stains (PWS) and hemangiomas. Port-wine stains are reddish or purplish marks on the skin that develop as a result of malformed blood vessels that stay dilated (open) all the time. About 3 in 1,000 people are born with port-wine stains, which appear most commonly on the face and upper body.
Previously, liposuction had been one of the few medical options for reducing fat and contouring the body. This surgical procedure, while effective, is also aggressive and creates trauma in the body. Liposuction patients experience soreness, bruising, and swelling for up to 10 days after the procedure.

I should have read further other peoples reviews. I decided to check out this doctor in hopes of getting solution for my skin problem . I waited 40 minutes
The doctor walks in and tells me , thank you for waiting. Now by that I would think if she truly is there to help every single person's dermatology problem. She would have common decency to make time to evaluate me as a new patient. Ask me questions about my skin and advise me or provide some information to help my skin problem.

I have been coming to Dermatology and Laser Centre for about a year now. I get botox and filler done by Dr. Gallacher. I am always happy with my results and I like how the doctor doesn't "over do" the injections. I love that I still look natural and just more refreshed. They also have all of the best products in there office!! I highly recommend the brand skin better. It has worked magic on my skin. I don't believe they carry it at Sephora or Ulta.

After my second pregnancy I had noticed blotchy dark spots on my forehead. I tried out a few creams, but they didn't seem to do the trick. After being treated at Laser Away for laser hair removal on my upper lip I was unfortunately left with a darker pigmentation. I started to notice this just after my second treatment and was so upset (stay away from Groupon ladies). So, I decided to go to a real dermatologist and I am so happy that I did! Dr. Gallacher explained what had caused the pigmentation, she was very knowledgeable about the lasers and made me feel so much better. Just a few laser treatments and my skin is back to normal! I definitely recommend this office for anyone looking for any laser treatments.

So unprofessional! I had a 1:30 appointment, they called and asked if I would please come in at 1:00 instead. I sat in the waiting room until 1:26 and then decided to check to see where the Dr. was. When I went to the front desk Dr. Gallagher was sitting in a chair leaning back talking to the gal at the front desk! I was shocked! I asked why they asked me to come in early and then left me waiting for a half hour. All she did was come up with excuses that didn't make any sense and on top of it the Dr was rude! I will NEVER step foot in that office again! This is not about the fact that I waited

I highly recommend Dr. Gallacher. She has been my dermatologist and go-to for any kind of skin or cosmetic issue for several years now and she is consistently excellent. She is always a pleasure to work with and I feel very confident with all of her diagnoses and recommendations. She doesn't push unnecessary procedures either, which I've experienced with other dermatologists.
I've recommended many friends to Dr. Gallacher, and they all have nothing but positive things to report.

Dr. Gallacher is wonderful! She is so knowledgeable, she solved a scalp issue that drove me crazy for years. I had been to numerous specialists with no solution found. I happened to mention it to Dr. Gallacher. I did not think she would know what to do after all the others were unsuccessful, but she treated me effectively. Finally it is better and very close to being completely eradicated! She is also in, my opinion, an artist. She is expert at anti aging and cosmetic procedures. She helps you look great and natural. I have been a patient of Dr. Gallacher since 2015 and it has always been pleasant. Dr. Gallacher is genuinely kind and a patient advocate! Despite on some bad reviews I will go and check this office myself anyway. I haven't seen any bad reviews about the actual work and the result, only complaints about billing. Pay in full like I do and you will owe nothing, never!

I've been seeing Dr. Gallacher for my botox. I've seen many doctors in the past but she is by far my favorite. She always knows where to put my botox and how much to put. She recently did botox in my lips and I love it! Aside from being an amazing doctor she is always very sweet, professional and makes me feel at ease. She is my only referral when someone is looking for a good dermatologist!

Her service and bedside manners are horrible! I was referred to her by my primary doctor. I made an appt to see Dr Gallacher for a medical/skin issue...not cosmetic. My appt was at 1:30, and she didn't walk-in to the room until 2:45! Wow....how inconsiderate and disrespectful. I show her my skin and she tells me it's one thing. I show her my biopsy results and she said "oh, well this is largely caused by stress, so I think you should take a vacation." Ha. Yeah....what an insult. What a waste of my precious time. She billed my insurance $184.50 to have me wait over an hour

I look better at 50 than I did at 30. After a severe run of pregnancy induced cystic acne, my skin was permanently scarred. I hated my face. I literally looked like a burn victim. Even though I went to dozens of doctors and spent thousands of dollars on every type of product and skin treatment, nothing worked. I couldn't leave my home without wearing about a pound of MAC studio fix make-up. Don't give up on yourself. Stop wasting your money and go see Dr. Gallacher. This office is a mess!! Stay clear! I received a call from the billing department mid December stating they had an issue with their past biller not registering payments clients made and asked if we can show proof of payment back to 2014. Are you kidding me! It was a $30 copay. Within less than a week of their call, they put me into collections (mind you again, this was for a copay back in 2014 that was paid). Now due to their incompetence and providing me NO time to look back 3 years, the interest on this copay has now gone up $10. I took care of my end and made payment, not my fault

Dr. Gergana Gallacher is a fantastic lady and professional. My mother has been going to her for years and we both can't say enough wonderful things about her work. She provides many services and is always happy to take time to discuss your options as well as any concerns you may have prior to any procedures.

Be very careful when paying for services rendered from this office. We had an issue regarding our billing statement for over a year now. We went to Dr. Gergana Gallacher. Dr. Gallacher was within our insurance network, but the Dermatology & Laser Centre was not. As a result, these individuals billed us $800 at an out-of-network rate.
We tried contacting this office 5-7 times through the phone, through mail, as well as in person to rectify this issue only to have all requests for us to be billed in-network ignored.

Wish I would have read the bad reviews for this doctor before I made my appointment.
I called the office for a same day appointment for pain I was having. They had availability and so I drove over. However, she had me wait over 45 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time. Once she did see me, she told me there was nothing she could do because my insurance wouldn't cover it. BS! However, she did tell me that I could pay $200 cash and she could fix it. Does that sound like the response of an ethical doctor?

I could not be more satisfied with the work I have done with Dr. Gallacher. She is simply at the top of her game professionally. I have done all my injectibles, fillers, cosmetic procedures with her. Now my skin looks 10 years younger. SO worth it! She is very conservative in her approach, which results in a very natural look. She is extremely meticulous and spends a ton of time with me at each and every visit. She also helped me with 2 different skin cancers.
