Also Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony is one of the most enjoyable events you can attend at an Ethiopian Restaurant. The coffee is taken through its full life cycle of preparation in front of you in a ceremonial manner. Coffee is called 'Bunna' (boo-na) by the Ethiopians.

As you sip your first cup of coffee, you've gone through the full process of watching seeing the coffee beans being washed, roasted, grinded, boiled & now the culmination you're drinking them.By now the process is finished at most restaurants, but traditionally Ethiopians stick around to get at least a second serving of coffee and sometimes a third.

My husband and I chose this place due to the great reviews and wanting for a long time to try ethiopian food. We went recently and unfortunately didn't have the same experience as others. We ordered the lamb tips..sambosa and vegi platter w/ awaze. So we get there waited about 15-20min for food to arrive. Looked good but the lamb tip portion was small for the price..it was bland and tough..the vegi.platter cold..the heat came from the excess jalapeno in the awaze was good but cold as well. My sambosa we ordered never came;oversight of waiter. Then when we got our can soda it was luke warm and whats

Best Ethiopian food in Phoenix! The veggie combo is incredible, and my daughter especially loved our order of the vegetable sambusas. The lentils are definitely on the spicier side so keep that in mind, but that being said they’re very very good. Loved that the veggie combo included shiro

Came here for a fasting day and sadly their options for vegans/vegetarians were little but was delicious. For me, I cheated on my fast and got the Doro Wot. Highly recommend and I love how super spicy it is.
My downside is that when you ask for the sambosa, be sure to ask how much it is because there was no price for them on the menu and the server gave us two baskets with four of them and charged us for each sambosa (8 total). Still delicious though

It is a small unassuming little place but don't judge a book by its cover. The food here was AMAZING!!! I have never been to Ethiopia but I am guessing this is as authentic as you can get. The spicy lamb dish was out of this world and their injera is nice. Our server was kind and beautiful with a genuine smile. She helped us decide what to order and we were not disappointed. Loved this experience, thank you!

Amazing food, bought 4 plates, lamb, beef, veggie and chickpea and two orders of sambusas. All amazing. Made 5 meals out of it and one left over still. Injera is amazing and have five of those still too. Takes me back to the first time my wife and I ate Ethiopian years ago and I’ve been wanting it ever since. Highly rated online and rightfully so!

This was our FIRST Ethiopian food experience. It was exciting, vibrant, so tasty and flavorful! We were taught how to use the injera as the utensil (there are no forks or knives) and the service was top notch. We had the lamb that was tender and spicy, the Yetsom Beyaynetu was so colorful and tasty. My favorite was the yellow lentils with garlic. There was AMPLE injera available and the tang from the fermented tef (tortilla like crepe gluten-free bread) was a delightful compliment to the flavors and spiciness. We felt the warmth of the proprietors and the beautiful ethnicity of the food through
