Services
In 1969, a group of five dentists, led by Drs. Daro A. Buchanan and Richard O'Brien, formed Dental Health Associates of Madison (DHA). Both dentists were single practitioners for 15 years, but saw the need for a complete range of services at a single location. Since DHA's inception in the late 1960's, the concept of dentists joining together has provided many benefits for both the patients and the practitioners.
We offer a large variety of dental services at our 7 locations throughout the Madison, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, and Middleton communities. DHA offers comprehensive family dental services and specialty dental care with clinics located throughout Madison. As a group of family dental providers we provide general dentistry and specialty services including orthodontics, periodontics, and endodontics.

I had an outstanding dentist as a child and never expected to find another as good as good old Dr. Eckberg, but I found Dr. Abell, who is phenomenal. She listens and gives her patients several treatment options. I have been fortunate and I have required little work besides routine cleaning, but the work that she has performed has been flawless and painless. I have recommended Dr. Abell to several colleagues and friends. No one has been disappointed!

My Daughter Naia’s have been patient here with Dr.Megan Abell since she was two years old. at her first dentist appointment. She is very active and wiggly. Dr.Abell and her staff did a fabulous job.
You can tell they adore children and understand and provide for the children's needs with patience and care.
Everyone from the front office, to the dental assistant, to the Dr were super polite and friendly. I was very nervous about how my little girl would do, but they made my girl very comfortable and she didn't even fight me when brushing her teeth anymore.

I had an emergency dental health issue that ended up with a tooth being extracted. Dental Health got me in ASAP, got the problem deiagnosed and got me in to an oral surgeon the next day. The pain that I had was getting worse the longer it went untreated. So I really appreciate the prompt care I received. They take great care of their patients.

I visited Dr Megan Abell, DDS at Dental Health Associates today due to a toothache. The staff check in was really nice, and I was seen very quickly, like barely sat down quickly.
Talking with the Dental Assistant, I warned her that I gag very easily with x-rays. She made sure to be very thoughtful and expedient with the procedures… even enlisting more help to make it faster. Thank you very much :)
In all, the entire visit and staff was delightful and helpful.

We could not ask for kinder, more professional dentists and staff. Dr Abel and her assistance saw my daughter on short noticed and helped ease the pain and discomfort of a bad tooth. Not only are they efficient with their expertise, but they truly are healers. You can tell by their kindness and cheerfulness that they care about each person who sits in their dental office. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I am typically not a fan of going to the dentist, but I had recently cracked a filling that needed repair. DHA’s friendly staff made it very simple to get set up in their system and scheduled as a new patient.
Dr Toigo was phenomenal. Very personable, accommodating, and explained every step of the process as he did an excellent job with a new filling (I’ve had plenty of them and some bad experiences, and this was a breeze compared to other times)
If you’re seeking a new dentist in the area I highly recommend you see him.

I’ve had a fear of dentists since I was a child. So, I’ve put off regular exams and cleanings. Needless to say, I am now at a point where I can no longer avoid needed care.
My initial exam went well. Jamie was kind and patient as she cleaned, giving me the time I needed to relax.
My consult with Dr Abell was informative and again I was met with kindness and patience.
We are working out a plan and while I can’t say I’m looking forward to what I need to do get back to dental health, I believe it will be at my pace and with care.
