In 1915, Fred L. Cournoyer opened our family's funeral home and began serving the Monadnock Region and beyond with the best personal and professional service he was able to provide. Today, we continue in the tradition he began, providing you with friendly, sincere and gentle care. As a family, we have grown up with the knowledge and understanding of all that is needed to help you and your loved ones in your greatest time of need.
We are nothing without our specifically chosen team of dedicated professionals devoted to helping you. If you take a few minutes to get to know us online, when you walk through our doors and see our familiar faces, it is our hope that it will make your experience with us that much better. Mindy joined the Cournoyer Funeral home in April of 2014 and enjoys being able help families during a difficult time.
Recently, Mark was featured in this article in the September edition of American Funeral Director Magazine. The Cournoyer Funeral Home once again assisted with "Project Crash" at Conant High School. Many first responders in the towns of Jaffrey and Rindge took part in the simulation, and this was the first time a reference was made to a cell phone distraction, in addition to alcohol impairment, as being causes of the prom night collision.
Since 2001, almost a whole decade before 'GoFundMe' or 'crowdfunding' was even thought of, the Cournoyer Funeral Home has been assisting families with our Good Neighbor Fund.
The Good Neighbor Fund was created by the Cournoyer Family as an alternative to the custom where many funeral homes inevitably cause embarrassment to a family by suggesting in an obituary that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.Instead, our Good Neighbor Fund is quietly listed in lieu of flowers, just as any other organization would be, and no one is aware that a family needs a little extra help.
