In April of 2021, Jared and Eric Lendrum purchased Rick's Bike Shop! Since 1995 Rick's Bike Shop has been serving the cycling community in the Glens Falls, Queensbury, and Lake George areas. The brothers plan to continue the legacy Rick built over 25 years ago by providing excellent customer service to those shopping for a new bike or looking to repair/maintain the one they own.
Being co-owners of North Country Subaru just down the road, they are no strangers to running a successful business that puts the customer first by offering a no-pressure approach to sales and service. Services
Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too.

Top notch customer service goes hand in hand with decades of knowledge and expertise. Dropped off a 91 Diamondback relic that, not knowing anything about it myself, I was informed was in fact worth keeping and maintaining instead of being pressured to buy the "latest and greatest" like I had experienced elsewhere. I was even blown away at the great communication and fast turn-around time! The enthusiasm and prompt service/communication I received will keep me going back to this shop for my future pedaling needs. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a fantastic experience with Rick's. I bought my teen daughter a Trek multi purpose bike 2 years ago. With some wear and tear she had managed to mess up the gears. I brought the bike in for service in early June and they were super busy, and didn't have an appointment for two weeks, but prior to leaving one of the technicians looked the bike over and found the issue. He was able to fix the gears in under a minute (no charge), then I scheduled a tune up to give the bike a once over. Folks at Rick's Bike Shop are extremely knowledgeable regarding "all things cycling". I brought my 50 year old 10-speed road bike in for a tune-up and was extremely pleased with the thoroughness of the job. I also inquired about an e-bike and tech patiently spent time with me explaining this new technology and features. Rick's Bike Shop also supports many regional cycling events, which I value. Great shop with great values.

Decided to spend some CovidCash at Rick's shop based on the recommendation of a local friend and long-time customer. Well worth the effort! Very knowledgeable staff and they took the time to listen to the concerns of an older person returning to two wheels. (I appreciated that many of the staff were closer to my age than my children's.) Subsequent visits for a rack and fenders were addressed quickly even though they were slammed for time last summer.

Picked up a brand new Specialized eBike back in April of 2020. At delivery I noticed that in addition to the bike not having been cleaned, the battery case was scuffed. At the time I was told a replacement casing had been ordered, but would take a few months to arrive. I reached out several times and in December exchanged emails with Rick who assured me he would get to the bottom of it, but didn't follow up. I reached out again in January with no reply. I understand they've been busy lately, but six+ contacts and closing in on a year since purchase and my damaged eBike has not been repaired.

Pretty bad service so far. Dropped my bike off ~2-3 weeks ago for a basic tune-up, no repairs or anything "wrong" with it. They didn't provide an exact day it'd be ready because they're so busy allegedly. Fine, I understand. However, in that case, I'd expect they'd give customers a courtesy call to inform you when your bike is ready for pick ups. No call received yet, and I have now called them 4 times with no answer there and left voicemails asking for an update on the service, without any acknowledgment yet. And supposedly it's about $95 for a basic tune

Fred is wizard with bicycle repair! Walked in at 4:30 with a flat, walked out at 5:30 with a re-built back-end for a very reasonable price. Fred took the time to diagnose what caused the flat, kept finding more issues, including a broken axle. He found a suitable replacement axle, tuned the brakes and put in new brake-pads, straightened the handlebars, tighten the brake handles, and found the holes in both inner tube AND tire. This TREK is as good as new again. Feel so lucky to have found Fred, Dave, and Bob in this shop. Their passion for mechanical parts and fixing bikes is unparalleled.
