If you are experiencing painful swelling in the back of your foot just above the heel, you may be suffering from Achilles Tendonitis. This troublesome condition affects the Achilles tendon, which is the strongest and largest tendon in the body and connects the leg to the foot as it stretches from the lower leg to the heel bone.
Typically occurring in both feet, brachymetatarsia is a condition characterized by a short metatarsal. The foot has five metatarsals and this condition results in one shortened toe. If more than one of the long bones of the foot is affected, it is known as brachymetapody.
The causes of brachymetatarsia are genetic or situational, meaning that you can be born with it or it can be induced by premature closure in the metatarsal growth plate due to a trauma. If you suffer from brachymetatarsia, you may find it difficult to properly balance or smoothly transfer weight across the toes when walking or running.

Most often found on the inner foot near the big toe but sometimes located on the fifth toe, bunions are a painful yet common condition caused by inflammation of the bursa. Bursa resides in the connective tissues of the bodies and is essentially a small fluid filled sac. The inflammation and thickening of these sacs creates a problematic bone formation that forces the toe out of alignment and causes great discomfort.
It is rare to find someone who walks with both feet in perfect alignment. Often we walk on the inside or outsides of our feet, or with our toes or heels rotated inward. These typical walking patterns can cause many problems not just with the feet but also for the whole body as the alignment of the feet sets the foundation for the whole body's alignment.

Dr. Era is a very nice thorough and efficient doctor. Throughout the experience of breaking my 4th toe from the big one on the left foot back in October 2021 each appointment has gone smooth clear straight forward answers and he definitely was focused on my full recovery rather than simply operating. Other doctors wanted to operate and he didn’t just jump to that he reviewed my case and was able to provide me options that helped me heal naturally, safely, and without having to be cut open. I HIGHLY Recommend Dr. Elbys Era as a strong safe option who is definitely able to tackle any case.

Went here to treat my big toe which is extremely prone to Ingrown Toenails. Dr. Elbys made me feel very comfortable, like I was at home! He explained to me very thoroughly why I'm so prone as well as step by step through the process. He answered any questions I had for him and since taking his advice I haven't had an ingrown toenail! Very highly recommend him, thank you again Dr. Elbys

A few years ago I had a nasty little wart right on the bottom of my foot. I constantly wear heels so this created much discomfort for me. Anyways, Dr.Era took the time to explain the entire procedure and was very patient. DISCLOSURE: I'm not the easiest of patients!! I know I will need surgery in the long run and I wouldn't trust any other doctor. Also, his office is very cozy, the staff is wonderful, and great location! Would def recommend.

I guess with the new staff of this place you can tell they’re super unprofessional. Great doctor but the office manager sucks and doesn’t speak English, it’s always a wait and when they don’t feel like seeing someone they don’t “like” they make it known. Sad to see a dr act the way he does in the manner he does - I needed an appointment and I was denied I personally knew the dr and his wife (office manager) and I was denied not once not twice but multiple times an appointment. I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re in the ER and he’s on call.

About 3 years ago I had a Lisfranc fracture, I was devastated due to the fact that I knew there was a posibility that I would never be able to run again. A little over a year ago Dr. Era fixed my foot with a surgical procedure called a fuse. Thank you Dr. Era for fixing my foot! If it wasn’t for your surgery I wouldn’t be running today. I’m back to Running my daily 3 miles and it feels great! I would recommend Dr.Era to anyone who needs to see a foot and ankle specialist. God Bless.
