I have more than a decade of experience, both as a former prosecutor and as a criminal defense and family law attorney in private practice.
Born and raised in El Centro, California, Riisa Petersen Mandel has dedicated her career to protecting the rights of her fellow Arizonans. The Justice System can be challenging to navigate alone, and after practicing law since 2006, Riisa has built a reputation based on experience, determination, grit, and an unwavering dedication to YOU, her client.
Amanda Suan was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. After graduating highschool she joined the United States Air Force, from which she retired in 2018. Amanda has worked exclusively in family law, she joined our firm as a legal assistant and a paralegal intern. In December of 2020 Amanda received her Paralegal Degree from the American Bar Association's Approved Paralegal Program at Pima Community College.

I was feeling down, scared, and as if the court systems were designed to be against me. I spoke to plenty lawyers before hiring Riisa, and she was the one I am so glad I chose to represent me. Riisa and her staff, are very professional, and communicate like no other, every step along the way I knew what to expect. My case lasted 2 years due to covid and they were there with me along the entire way. Rissa and her staff have had the most profoundly positive impact on the lives of me and my infant. My situation was very sensitive and during the course of my custody battle there were times when we had to really work together to find a solution.
