It takes courage to acknowledge when something isn't working. Be it in relationships, intimacy, work life, family life, or general daily effectiveness, life has a way of presenting us all with unique challenges. I work with each of my clients to get to know and understand the influences in their lives to address the challenges they face.
I believe that with understanding, we have choice. And with choice, we have the ability to transform our lives. Over nearly 2 decades in clinical practice, I have helped adults with a variety of issues and difficulties including work, family/parenting, and relationship issues. My specializations include Adult ADHD, Mood, and Anxiety Disorders.

As a psychologist, I enjoy the process of helping adults rediscover aspects of themselves that may have become buried over time and under the pressures of expectation, responsibility, life challenges, or pains from the past. I believe that individuals and groups, no matter how big or small, function best when there is an appreciation of differences within strong, safe, and supportive connections.
This paperwork will provide you with a more detailed understanding of the therapy process, my practice policies and other considerations (late cancellation/no show policies, emergency contact information, social media guidelines, etc). It also contains legal documents including the consent for treatment, a review of confidentiality laws, and federally required HIPPA notice.
Mindfulness?! Have I gone mad? Wait. Don't close your screen just yet. Many A-Brainers have an initially strong, negative association to the idea of mindfulness because of an existing stereoype that mindfulness means sitting quiet and still for long lengths of. In case you were wondering why you are seeing the term A-Brain on this blog (and in my practice), I thought it best to start at the beginning, with a quick note about the term ADHD.
