If you want to go big, we can accommodate up to 1,200 people on our main floor. Our Hawthorne and Broadway rooms invite intimate events.

Event was cut short and waiters started clearing dishes without even asking if people were finished. Not a casual place to have a good time. Probably good for weddings but dont come here for work parties. The bartenders loosened up and were cool but the manager was not. They mentioned a staff shortage numerous times. Only 2 bartenders were provided for a party of 200. Uber credits were provided for all attendees by my company but the event center still cut us off early. Money grab

With regret, I must share that if you're considering hosting or attending an event at Melody Event Center in Portland, Ore., seriously reconsider your plans. This review is based on an experience with, surprisingly, the "new" General Manager, Catherine Leedy, so this apparently is the "new" culture there. Please find another venue; one in which you as a host/guest will feel welcomed, treated with respect and dignity. Because you will not find kindness here. :-(

In the year 2020, me and my then fiancé fell in love with this venue, and wanted to rent it for our wedding and we did. But then on March when because of Covid the city was shut down for months. We asked if they can refund our money. they said, that was not possible, and that we should choose another date. Which was not un option because we wanted to get married that June with or without a huge reception. And as you all know Portland was shut down almost the whole year of 2020 if not all. We tried to explain to them about our situation but they didn’t want to listen. We are two young adults

This was a really enjoyable venue that I’d never heard of before. I attended the #walkaway event; a very peaceful and positive group of patriots that support President Trump. The facilities were easy to access and the wide stairs leading up to the ballroom made it easy for such a large group of people to get in and out (note: elevators for ADA).
