At Sung's Black Belt Academy, we have an approach to teaching martial arts that is balanced between traditional and modern. Our students practice as partners, not opponents and we strive to create a family atmosphere that develops discipline and skill all while having fun. Our mission is to provide students of all ages with the highest level of martial arts instruction combined with an emphasis on the values of traditional martial arts.
Mornings start early, and so do we. Get to work on time and avoid the school traffic by enrolling in our Before School Program. We'll provide transportation to school in the morning, provide your child with snacks and activities, and get the school day started right! The Before School Program falls under the Daycare Programs.
After a long day of school, your child needs a safe, supervised environment with a blend of learning and fun. Throw in martial arts classes, games, activities, reading time, homework support, and you've described our After School Program! We'll provide transportation from school to the Black Belt Academy each afternoon, provide martial arts training, and provide your child afternoon snacks.
Sung's Black Belt Academy is the only Martial Art's school to be officially licensed as a Youth Camp by the state of Maryland. When school is closed for teacher workdays, school breaks or summer, we're open! During spring and winter break, we create an exciting, themed camp with exciting field trips, special guests and unique experiences to keep your child interested and having fun!
Have fun, make friends, and learn Taekwondo! Our Summer Camp is designed especially for our junior members (4-13 years of age). It is the only camp designed to improve your technique, build self-confidence, learn self-discipline, and have fun all at the same time.
During the weekly sessions, camp attendees receive specialized training in Taekwondo, Tae Kwon Dance, Gymnastics, Weapons Form and are exposed to exciting games and drills for training their speed, reaction, and technique.Camp Attendees will also get to particpate in Field Trips, Arts and Crafts, Themes, Obstacle Courses, Moon Bounces, and a Pizza Party!

Neat place. Went there for quite a bit of my time at Leonardtown Elementary and a bit into Leonardtown Middle. I left a little after I became a blue stripe, and after that I only really attended the summer camp activities which were ok.
Good instructors
Decent staff (at the time, dunno about now)
It was a good time.
Only real issue I had was the lack of consistency when it came to the spaces for people in the after school programs. Seriously 1 large free space then a small portion of it and now where the old office and staff room was, really?
