Upon graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, there were a series of roadblocks to opening a traditional chiropractic office, the result could have been months to years of waiting before opening an office and serving the community.Instead, Dr. Amanda decided to form Tiger Family Chiropractic and to immediately begin serving patients in their homes.

In 2006, Dr. Amanda Owens, DC, graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and opened her practice, Tiger Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center, in Columbia.
As a new graduate, there were many hurdles to overcome in order to create a traditional practice, locations and funding were scarce during those times, so rather than wait until everything was "perfect, " Dr. Amanda got to work right away by creating a door-to-door practice where she would visit people at their homes.What an amazing way to begin my chiropractic career!

Dr. MaKayla Holtschneider grew up in Henley, Missouri, and then attended Central Methodist University, where she played on the women's basketball team. She completed undergraduate school in three years with her Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biology. She then attended Logan University, where she graduated with honors and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

From the first moment you walk into Tiger Family Chiropractic you are greeted by friendly, cheerful, concerned staff (Whitney and Stephanie) and whisked into the treatment room. Dr. Amanda zooms around smiling, laughing, checking on everyone's conditions, bubbling out positive energy and encouragement. I almost always leave with some continuing education materials to study pertaining to my needs. Her treatments are painless but effective and you leave feeling cared for, listened to, and ready to tackle anything.

I highly recommend this chiropractic office, especially for little ones. dr.james has helped my one year old daughter walk so much smoother without all the balance issues and wobbling that she was having, got rid of her headaches and has helped tremendously with her colic! she’s always happy now that she’s feeling better :) also everyone in the office is just so kind! thank you so much!

Horrible several experiences. They do a good job on the assessment and then it goes downhill very quickly. Some days I got to the facility and they had 2 people in front of me so I thought I would have to wait 20-30 minutes but in 5ish they were working on me, and mine took another 2-3 minutes. Crack, crack, pay on the way out and see you later. None of the plans we discussed during the assessment seemed to be working or even being talked about. I did over 10 sessions. Very much seems like they simply wanna charge your insurance and be done with it. They get you with a thorough assessment and are
