Definitely one of, if not the best meal I had in Galena. A lot of the surrounding restaurants are mostly burgers/sandwiches/etc. After two days of that, we were ready for something different and Little Tokyo was a breath of fresh air. I got the chicken katsu bento box and my husband got a noodle dish. Everything was great, including the service. It was great to have a totally different option there on Main Street. Really thankful to have seen other reviews on here that steered us in their direction!

If you love sushi, this is the place for you! While it is a little dark inside, this sushi restaurant is not given enough credit. It is certainly a hidden gem in Galena. We brought our parents here for their anniversary weekend and they loved every single dish and drink they had here. If you have money to indulge, I encourage you to get the sushi boat! We definitely plan to stop here again when we are back in Galena.

This was the best meal we had in Galena. My whole family enjoyed it. The portions were large and food was delicious. The bento boxes had a good variety of choices and were very filling. We did pick up and the service was great, the food was ready and waiting for us at the time we specified and they were also very responsive to our questions about allergens. We will definitely come back!!

Who knew Galena would have a great sushi place? We decided to try this place based on the reviews. When you walk in there's a crooked staircase right in front of you, to the right is a bar, a few tables, and restrooms, to the left there's a sushi bar and a few tables.
They have a pretty large menu, so something for everyone. We really enjoyed the sushi, rolls, tempura, and gyoza. We didn't care for the calamari, it was the kind of large rings that some chain restaurants serve, it was a very small portion and overcooked. Other than that, it was a great meal.

Came here for dinner. The food was honestly pretty average- I got tofu teriyaki with fried rice and my friend got a noodle dish. We started off with the vegetable gyoza which were super good, but the rest of the food was just okay. Maybe the sushi was better- we saw people ordering it and it looked appetizing. The food was was pricey. The service was really good though.

Well despite passing by here with my motorcycle friends in the past before the pandemic I was finally able to try this Japanese restaurant for the First time. Very good tempura udon. Sushi was a bit odd to me but was delicious too. Why only 3 stars was because the waitress dis not understand when I ordered another sushi appetizer. I told her 2 times and said she understood but clearly not. I had addressed it to her about my disappointment. Also place was not ada or handicapped complient. Other than that food was great but service was subpar and not handicapped accessible for my mom who was my guess

Whoever thought we would find the absolute best Japanese restaurant in Galena. This little gem is located on main street. They do not take reservations, unlike most of the restraunts on Main St , but we had no problem getting a table on Friday night at 5:45. We started with chicken gyoza. The gyoza were the best I've ever had. The moist chicken had a slight sweetness, which made them outstanding. We shared the Chicken Teriyaki dinner and Yaki udon with chicken. The dinner included miso soup and a garden salad. The dressing on the salad was light and refreshing. The dressing was a house

We enjoyed our dinner here! It’s delicious and affordable. The restaurant is so popular that it might take 20-40 minutes waiting in line, but overall the turnover rate is pretty high. We ordered 2 rolls and 1 fried rice. Both came with big portion - it’s definitely a stretch for two people to finish. Recommend to people visiting Galena!

Really enjoyed this place. I had already decided I wanted to go there but it was also recommended by some of the locals we talked to. We went for lunch on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all.
They have an extensive menu with lots of choices for cooked and raw sushi. Me and my boyfriend both got sushi, soup, salad and mai tais. The ginger salad dressing isn't the kind I prefer. Theirs is sweet and I prefer the tangier one. Overall we had a great meal and enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Amazing food!! Service seemed very overwhelmed with to go orders. We dined in and the restaurant was strangely quiet (no ambiance music?). The tables were fairly distanced but the seating area is small. The 2-3 people working were rockstars and worked so hard so I appreciate everything they did. The food is definitely top quality!!!

Got the bento box dinner meal for $20. Came with a choice of two proteins so I got the steak and shrimp and vegetable tempura. The meal comes with 4 pieces of a California roll, 2 pork gyoza, and white rice. A little pricey, but the staff were friendly and service was quick. Can't complain about that. Bento Box.

Little Tokyo is a wonderful little gem located right on Main Street in charming Galena, Il.
Our visit at Little Tokyo was definitely one of the best meals we enjoyed while on an anniversary trip to Galena.
We began our experience with Mai thai cocktails. They were fruity and boozy, just as one would expect from a Mai thai.
For an appetizer, we enjoyed their vegetable tempura. We enjoyed an array of broccoli, sweet potato, and onion with a slightly sweet dipping sauce. It was solid. Though not my favorite portion of the meal.
My dining companion and I then ordered their Romeo & Juliet
