At Christopher Columbus High School, providing an excellent education is more than imparting knowledge; it's helping young men become the very best they can be in all the facets of their lives. Established in the spirit of St. Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers, Columbus is the beginning of a great adventure and a lifetime of learning and friendships.
Christopher Columbus High School has always fostered three distinct traditions: the pursuit of academic excellence, the heritage of Catholic education, and the unique spirit and mission of the Marist Brothers. Our school opened in 1958 with just two and a half buildings and an enrollment of approximately 150 students.

As our Principal David Pugh has said before, "The all male environment at Columbus offers an atmosphere free from stigma and stereotypes, and provides an education with a strong competitive and active component."
The tradition of Catholic education that is known as "Marist" was begun by a French priest, Marcellin Champagnat, in 1817. Today, Marist schools, colleges and universities are found in over eighty countries around the world, leading hundreds of thousands of young people to be what Marcellin believed each of them could be - good Christians and good citizens.
Christopher Columbus High School employs over 125 educators and staff members in a variety of fields. Our school thrives because our staff is talented, highly skilled and dedicated to providing current and future Explorers with an excellent education. Im the parent of a recent grad and another one who currently attends and I have to say being a 7 year parent, this is absolutely the best school in the state hands down. These young men are treated like men from beginning to graduation. This is a school where boys come to learn about Christ, family values, respect and morals as well as how to be a decent human being and love their fellow man all while receiving the best high school education available. This school is a school where parents drop off boys and pick up men. Academically this school is unmatched. Our oldest son walked right into

Best School, without a doubt. All the people giving it a one star are people who do not even attend the school and are judging it simply on a mistake that will not happen again. It's as if someone were to give a review on a restaurant they had never been to. As a part of Columbus, besides that one incident, this school is exceptional in every way. Fantastic Sports program and Fantastic Curriculum. 5 stars doesn't do it justice.

Christopher Columbus high school is one of the top Marist schools to attend in the United States. It is ran by Marist brothers and geared around God and being kind to one another. This school develops young boys into young men ready to take on the world by the time they graduate.

You behaved like the Circus that you are. Animals are not humans, they do not remotely behave and learn like a humans. Everybody with 3 brain cells knows this! For all of you that say the Tiger was fine you are mistaken. The Tiger was probably drugged to even get to the High School. Frankly, I would have given you more credit if you just let the Tiger in the door. If you want to play with a Tiger then grow-up and deal with the outcome. Now if that Tiger got out and killed someone they then would have killed the Tiger. A living, breathing, animal that you abused for your own pleasure
