Established in 1982 Sunshine Plus Solar Corp. is built on experience, knowledge and treating customers like they are one of our own. Since 1982 Sunshine Plus has been installing, engineering and servicing solar systems throughout the Long Island and the tri-state area. We began our journey starting with Solar Thermal systems in the late 70's to early 80's.
Here we installed systems for major corporations such as Grumman, Sears and Meenan. When technology of Solar Electric systems began to boom in the early 90's we were well ahead of the curve completing some of the first Solar Electric systems in the country. While our main focus is helping Long Islanders become energy sufficient, we are no strangers to seeing our work environment go out of state.

Founded in 1974, SEIA has been critical in developing the powerful solar industry as it is today. As the national trade association in the U.S., the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is the power behind solar energy. Their member companies research, manufacture, distribute, finance, and build solar projects domestically and abroad.
Back in 2009 Sunshine Plus Solar installed a one of a kind system in Astoria, Queens. This system was installed for Steinway Pianos, the legendary piano maker in production since 1853. In 2009 this system was one of the first Double Effect Absorption Chillers installed in The United States.

If you're even thinking of having anything solar done to your house, Kevin and his team are the only way to go. Kevin truly gives his customers the five star treatment and makes sure that the work is done fast, clean and efficiently. He has a strong old school work ethic that seems to be fading in today's world. I truly can't recommend him enough and have already told family and friends about his company. Kevin is easy to work with. He is friendly and flexible. We started our first solar panel project with Kevin's Sunshine Plus in 2007. Over the past 12 years, we have continued to expanded our system to meet our increasing electricity needs. Kevin is always there to take my calls and handle my requests promptly and professionally. Hello everyone at sunshine plus we would like to thank everyone there for the great job everyone did for me and the family at the munoz residents. The hole team that came to do the job and all the paper work was great we totally appreciated all the work that was put in to complete the job and helping us out on cutting down our electric bill . Kevin gave us the best of 5 quotes, did the job on time and with no changes. We started making electricity immediately and have been showing negative power usage ever since! He sourced me premium panels at a discount and we got better yield on a smaller neater array. Clean install, no loose ends. Can't even see it from the street!

Great Company, I know Kevin Kraemer for over 30 years, he has installed 2 hot water solar systems in my house and 2 solar systems to heat the pool. Always on time, knows his business and when there is an emergency you can count on him. We lost one of the solar systems in a fierce storm, and replaced one of the solar systems for the pool.

I liked the job these folks did selling my system, but it turned out that they caused me a major problem. I had an older solar hot water system in place. When they removed the old panels, they did not disconnect the water supply to the water tank. This caused water to keep flowing through it and in January of 2016 the tank ruptured at the worst possible time.
When I approached about it, they said "Tough luck."
