At James Fierro, DO, PA our experienced medical staff takes great pride in treating each and every one of our patients as a valued individual.

When you visit our location you will always leave knowing that you received a strong diagnosis along with a focused treatment plan targeted to your specific needs. My previous doctor retired and I was in a quandary about finding a new doctor who would make me feel comfortable. A friend recommended Dr. Fierro and I have no regrets.
Services
We accept most health insurance. If you are not sure if we accept your insurance, call our staff and they will be glad to assist you. If the insurance company tells you we do not participate with your insurance or we are not taking new patients, please call the office to verify that information. Significant injuries should be evaluated and treated in the emergency room without delay.

I called this practice 9 times over a 2 week period in an attempt to schedule a new patient visit (their website states they are accepting new patients). They NEVER answer the phone and half the time the call will not even connect. I left messages on 4 occasions and received a call back once at a time I was unavailable to take it with no message left. I have given up and will attempt to connect with a more responsive practice. Giving 2 stars with the benefit of the doubt that their actual medical care has to be somewhat better than the admin side of the business.

This office does not call their patients for test results. When I sent them an email, asking them why, they responded by email stating, "Our office reaches out to patients with any abnormalities in their testings." I emailed them back and asked what if reaching out to patients with test abnormalities gets overlooked? After a couple of days, I did not get a response, so I emailed the same question again. Two days after that, I received a certified letter from them, telling me to find a new doctor. When I asked about receiving a refill for meds, they would only give me a 30-day supply

I've read some bad reviews here and I felt that with each person's relationship with their doc is unique varies a lot. At first this doctor's office really connected to me but I was fooled. This place is setup like a nurse managed healthcare office. I personally have found the nurses to be good until they are not. Only ok for the healthy person. However if you have a cronic illness or are elderly this place is NOT for you. My mother had dimentia and while she was starting to deteriorate and they treated her in a repulsive way. They belittled, accused, disrespected, and ripped her dignity away.

It took me two years to realize why Dr. Fierro is always accepting new patients, because some patients simply don’t stick with the practice, and leave, for a number of reasons. First of all, he runs his practice strictly like a business. Dr Fierro says hello to you when you first become a patient, and after that, you never interact with him again. Secondly, you wont get a warm and fuzzy feeling walking in there. The money meter starts running the second you walk in, and if your office visit goes beyond ten minutes, cha-Ching. Lastly, with the exception of the PA’s and NP’s

I have been going to Dr. Fierro for over 20 yrs and would never thinking of going anywhere else. One time I went there not feeling well ,I know sooner was into my visit and Dr Fierro came in and said we're calling an ambulance you need to get to the hospital.Thank God I did because I need to have my gall bladder out,along with other complications, I am very grateful for his quick response.I see Sandy and wouldn't & won't see anyone else, we have a great relationship, and I feel comfortable talking to her about anything medical or personal, I can't say enough about her Thank you Sandy for being

This place is not very clean.

I went in there and it was dirt and dust everywhere. I swear I saw a wuhan running around. I think the dishwater is the same that they use for the dry cleaning. Be very careful

Have been going to Dr Fierro since my doctor retired. Tara at the front desk is always kind and very helpful. The rest of the staff has been great to deal with.I was just there March 9th and I feel great because I know I am in good hands. I highly reccomend Dr Fierro and his staff.

Gretchen is the absolute best. She is my favorite person in the office. 10/10 would recommend. I would trust her my great great grandmother who is in her late 90s.

Was overall pleased with their service until recently. I canceled an appointment because I knew I’d have an in person appointment coming up due to a surgery. I asked if I could have a “Medication” appointment done at the same time and they said I could, so when a prescription refill was denied by the pharmacist because I needed an appointment, I was confused. I called and they said I had to come in. The receptionist was incredibly rude, but the doctor gave me an additional 30 day supply. Just left from my doctors appointment. I just love this place. From the front desk employees, to the doctors this staff rocks. Especially Tara, she was so kind to me and respectful. She was so patient while I tried to find my insurance card. I wish all doctors offices had a "Tara" in them because she is one of a kind. Next appointment in a few weeks, cant wait to see her smiling face.

Arrived for my appointment to discuss the results of my lab work, but the front desk receptionist, Tara, explained that she did not know if my lab work had yet been received.
I tried to explain that absent the results of the labs, my appointment was not necessary. Tara argued that if I did not stay for my appointment, I would have to pay for the visit. I attempted to reason that the appointment was made for the sole purpose of reviewing lab work, she then raised her voice and exclaimed, “I am not going to argue with you.” Apparently, the irony that she was the only one with a bellicose attitude

Since my family doctor moved to VA, I was looking for a new one and since Dr. Fierro was on the top docs list, I scheduled an apt with his office. The staff could not be bothered and the three/four times I was there...all have given me a "cold" feeling. The office has no warmth and personality. I have NEVER seen Dr. Fierro only a young, constantly chewing gum nurse. Looking for a new family doctor now.

I've been going to Dr. Fierro's office for 3 years and never even met him. But my real complaint is with the rude front desk. They call in refills incorrectly and will argue with you that it's your fault instead of trying to fix it. Also after a recent hospital stay they charged $250 for hospital follow up and never did a thing. When I questioned the front desk they told me not to worry about it because my insurance will take care of it. They cheat as well as lie. I would not send my worst enemy to this office
