I have always loved plants and what they can do for the soul when properly placed in a landscape. You may even call me a plant geek. I started my love affair with landscapes and plants when I moved into my first home in California. I had the weird idea that all plants in my landscape had to have a purpose.
They needed to provide color, texture, food for pollinators and birds, or food for me. I spent years researching plants, growing and propagating plants, talking to experts about their plants and teaching others what I learned. I moved to Utah and then graduated from BYU in 2012 with a bachelor's in landscape management and as a Certified Landscape Professional through NALP.
