Having some bad luck with our car during the holidays, and unexpectedly "stranded" Durango for over a week, the management at this motel (specifically, Jessie) were polite and friendly, and she, herself, went out of her way to accommodate my husband and I as much as possible.
We were horrified by Budget Inn (the front desk man was possibly the rudest individual I've met quite some time) as well as Spanish Trails, who specifically told my disabled husband he did not "accept" his SSDI Direct Express MC.

This place is disgustingly dirty. Stains on the chairs, carpet tore up. The walls and ac unit have a shade of brown on them. The curtains are sun bleached and torn. When i had gotten into bed a bug had crawled over me and that was the last straw. I walked into the office for a refund. The manager Josh would not give me one. I was only in the room maybe 10-15 minutes. Room number is #229. Do not give motel Durango your time or your money. They do not deserve it.

This place is right in the middle of town. Good rate, clean room, comfortable bed, plenty of good pillows and soft sheets. AC works very well. Rooms have microwave, mini fridge, tv that pivots. Lots of counter space in the bathroom and room. Couple of chairs and a little table. Easy to access both the motel and the rooms. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Little salt pool out front with comfortable seating. Picnic table in front of our building. Its kind of noisy. Sound of running water is constant in our room (not an issue for us but could be for others) and since its off main you can hear

Under new management. I was skeptical reading the reviews but I find the place to be extremely clean Modestly cute and they had the pool up and running and there's a beautiful walkway along the river beautiful Park that is pet friendly and City market is right down the way. My air conditioning worked perfect. I really enjoyed my stay here. They offer coffee and they serve breakfast items such as danish and instant oat meal. Wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Motel Durango! Melissa and Dillon were super friendly and professional, and made the experience outstanding. The room was very clean and ready when we arrived. The A/C was running when we opened the door, which was super nice because it was HOT in Durango that day. The pool was a super refreshing addition. Even the coffee exceeded our expectations. Motel Durango is my new go-to when I visit Durango. There's a nice, big willow tree next to a stream beside the parking lot. A picnic table and BBQ grill really make it a nice spot to hang out during the evening. Motel

Do Not stay here. Rude employees and bad management. I show up to check in after driving nearly 600 miles to drop off kids at camp for 2 weeks. I have my expedia confirmation and I called the motel 2 days prior. They tell me they have no rooms and that I canceled my reservation! An hour later Expedia even emailed me how's check in?! No help on placement elsewhere. Ended up driving 1200 miles in one day. Thanks to motel Durango. Go anywhere else. I even have to go back to pick em up 7/25 and they offered me a whopping 10% off my next stay. GTFOH

This place, has such beautiful surroundings, however, the room we were given was atrocious, the floor squeaked the carpet was old, as was the furniture, there was no phone in the room, the TV was completely nonfunctional, the restroom had wall damage that appeared the be a first time do it yourselfers job, however the water was hot and fast, the bed was lumpy and mis shaped the bedding was dirty and stained, the bed top cover appeared the be the cleanest. When you register, you agree that you are un able to get a refund if you do not like the accommodations, so ask to see the room first! The photos

This place was disgusting. The room was filthy and you could see fingerprints all over the fridge and doors. The carpet was gross, the curtains looked Like they were probably 30 years old - also horribly dirty - and the mattress felt like springs with fabric stretched over them. Also, we were supposedly in a non smoking room, but it REEKED of smoke! It was so gross. We had brought a cooler and stuff to make sandwiches but we didn't even feel like it was clean enough to bring our food inside. We couldn't even bring ourselves to sleep here and ended up finding a different room somewhere

WARNING!!! In my opinion pass this hotel up we booked this hotel online and the pictures must have been taken 30 years ago normally I would have left but for some reason I stayed I knew hotels.com would NOT give a refund but when we pulled into this place I was like.. what the!!!!
The lady at front desk was super nice And she did let us have our small dog at no charge! Which I thought was great until I walked into the room and then I realized why! that's the only reason I gave 1 star OTHERWISE I would have gave -65 IF POSSIBLE this place is the nastiest repugnant rat hole I have ever

Pros - Nice office staff, new owners, in the process of remodeling.
Cons - BED BUGS! I emailed, called, and left a message for the manager but no response. I just wanted to make sure that the mattress was removed so no one else would be eaten up like I was. Their lack of response was truly disappointing. So, avoid room 216!

We booked this hotel for a Wed night & for the following Sat night, so we'd have a nice place to stay on both ends of a backpacking trip. We emailed the motel through their website early in the week to let them know we'd be arriving after 11pm since we were driving in from Phoenix after work. When we arrived at midnight (due to a long backup on the highway), we found the office lights off & door locked. We rang the buzzer, knocked on the door & called the office phone for 20+ minutes, assuming that there was an attendant on site but just not in the office. Nobody ever came

Very clean and comfortable. River flowing in the back have it a nice feel.
We stayed on the top floor so for the most part everything was quiet.
Would be five stars, but we arrived late to check in and no one was there. Luckily there was a man hanging around and asked us what we were waiting for and he knocked on someone's door to see if someone was able to check us in. Someone was supposed to be at the desk, but don't know what happened to them.
The person that checked us in was nice and quick. She even walked out to show us where our room was.
Overall nice stay. Woke up too late

We were in a road trip and stopped here for 2 nights just because it was NYE and everything else was booked.
Our sheets were filthy, luckily we had 2 beds so we ended up sleeping in one only.
I thought I'd talk to the front desk about it but they were pretty much useless since the beginning when we asked about the Purgatory special that's advertised on their site.
If you're in Durango to snowboard, don't even bother bringing it up. They have no idea about their own deals! One person told us over the phone that we'd get a free night buying a Purgatory pass (which we were

One of the crappiest motels I have had the misfortune of patronizing. The AC started smoking when operated and nearly set the place on fire. We had to shut it off and open the window to let the smoke out.
Lots of road noise and a poorly maintained unit. Shower water got cold after about a minute or two. Men of ill repute wandering around the parking lot with large energy drinks in hand.
But there's WiFi!
