Established in 1940, "Livingston & Livingston" is Highlands County's oldest law firm and has been serving the legal needs of Florida's Heartland (Sebring, Lake Placid and Avon Park) for three generations. The founder, Howard G. Livingston, served as County Judge and State Representative in the Florida Senate.
Howard was joined by his son, James L. Livingston, who attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger. Robert E. Livingston joined the firm in 2000 after serving as an officer with the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps.
