Ms. Barlaug was born in upstate New York and moved to Lake Placid, Florida in 1988. She began her career in the Real Estate industry as a Realtor's Assistant in 2002 and earned her Real Estate License in 2003. Melissa began working in the legal field in 2004 and joined Karlson Law Group in 2008 as a legal assistant.
Mrs. Karlson grew up in Lake Placid, Florida and graduated from our very own Lake Placid High School. She has been a Florida attorney since 1994, which is 25 years. She opened her own law practice in 2003. Pam is married to Greg Karlson also of Lake Placid. They have two teenage children who are active in the community as well.

I would highly recommend the Karlson law group for any legal professional needs such as last will and testament, living wills , DPOA, closing on homes . They are a group of people who have become family to one another and they make their clients feel like family too. I say they are a law firm with a heart for the community .
