I cannot say enough wonderful things about the service I received from A-1 Locksmith. I am a petsitter who got locked out of a client's home while they were out of town. I called A-1 Locksmith and Steven showed up IMMEDIATELY. I was genuinely surprised at the response time. Steven was super friendly and understanding. He gained me access. Made me 2 new keys and it didn't cost me as much as I have been told it would from other locksmiths, by at least, if not, more than $100. I highly recommend A-1 Locksmith and will be using them for any future access emergencies.

We had a fairly bizarre situation where our deadbolt broke while we were still *inside* our apartment, and for some reason it was jammed inside the doorframe and wouldn't come loose, so we couldn't exit our place.
We called a few different locksmiths to try and figure out the issue, and Steven was far and away the most responsive (his rates were reasonable, too). He ended up suggesting multiple approaches for fixing the problem, and one of them ended up working. We would be glad to work with him again.

He is very very experienced in his field! He opened my front door within 5 minutes or less. Its a very very old lock. Not easy to pick. He knew what to do. Steven knows what he is doing. I would not hesitate to use this business! Highly recommend him and will be calling in future.

Called them on a weekend because I was locked out of the house. Steve, the owner, was upfront about the price and there were no surprises. It took him a while to get here on the coast because of the weekend traffic, but he called a few times to update on his ETA. Upon arriving, he found out that the lock was a new un-pickable type, so he had to drill it. He also installed a new lock. He cleaned up the debris from all the drilling after he was done. He is extremely reliable, and very diligent. Highly recommended.

We got locked out of our house during the last PG&E power outage. Called Steve who was very courteous and communicative on the phone. He showed up a short time later and was able to get us back into our house even with our stubborn lock. Definitely recommend this local small business.

Steve is amazing! I called on a Saturday afternoon needing assistance ASAP. Steve was kind enough to come within 15 minutes even though he had previous plans. He cares about his customers and loves what he does. My lock was a bit unique and Steve was determined to find a solution and did. He is a wealth of knowledge and did the job with an up beat attitude the entire time. If you have lock issues you need Steve!

I think they closed. Called so many times with no answer. A little worry about them. Still give them 5 star just be nice. And Steve was pretty nice on the phone with me during the first few calls. Called last week set a schedule but didn't come. Told me to send email quote never did. Understood holiday season. Went to their location yesterday. No people. It's an old garage and a 40 years old work truck outside. Good luck to Steve. They will have huge opportunity for business because Facebook new building is right in front of them.

So I can't say enough positive comments about A1 Locksmiths. Called on Sunday because the front door handle broke. We could not use the door! I texted him pictures of the handle and he said he had the same one in stock. So on Monday the owner of A1 Locksmith came and fixed the handle. We now can feel secure leaving our house.
He was on time and had to make a trip back to get another part. Felt he charged a reasonable price and did a very good job. The door closes much better and the handle feels very secure.

Called A1 & someone answered immediately and was at my place in 45 minutes--as promised. The locksmith was friendly and professional and moved fast. Turns out he had to drill the lock, as my previous lock was new and couldn't be picked. Throughout, he explained the cost to me and gave me options. I decided to have him replace the lock completely, as I am not very handy. The whole thing was pretty expensive, but I knew it would be, as it was Sunday morning & overtime rates kick in. Many services aren't even open on Sunday

Forgot the key inside my house and called this service for help. But he didn't help anything, either opening the front door or the back door. Highly doubt his professional skills.
Even worse, he charged me $120 for just coming here! Tried to argue with him reasonably, but he didn't listen at all. I had no way, but paid to let him leave.

Steven was super duper helpful when the trunk of my 17 year old Jeep was jammed. He worked on my car after normal working hours and did the job quickly & thoroughly. It was nice to call someone who was understanding and who listened to my situation. Would highly recommend giving him a call before anyone else! He's great at what he does.

Steve was great. He arrived in the allotted time that he said he would and quickly had the lock unlocked. His manner was very calm and professional which I appreciated. Plus, the lock looks and works just like it was never "picked." I have no concerns over the integrity of the lock and feel safe. I would call Steve again should I ever need locksmith service in the future.

Furthermore, Steve (owner) drove to me.. I did not know he could do that, but he does, and he was able to waive the fee as it was on his way.. that was extremely generous of him!
