Principal Rachel Seldin, has an undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Colgate University. Before moving to San Francisco in 2006, Rachel lived in New York City and worked in the fashion industry at Ralph Lauren as a Wholesale Merchandiser. After she moved to San Francisco. She has over 6 years of professional design experience, most recently working at Lotus Bleu, an award winning firm located in San Francisco.

I am inspired by travel, nature, color, and pattern. I develop my designs by reaching into the past, recreating the existing, and tying together what is beautiful, functional, and timeless.

Along the hallway and right outside of the kitchen was a pantry that was underutilized and overstuffed with nothing important. Changing the function of this space completely transformed they way my clients and their guests used the space. They trusted my vision 100%. I encouraged a bold color palette, which was outside of their creative box.
First time home owners purchased a condo in Mill Valley, CA with twin boys on the way. What started as a two bathroom remodeled turned into a full condo renovation including full kitchen gut and renovation, adding recessed lighting throughout, exposed beams in living room and master bedroom as well as fans in living room and both bedrooms.
This family didn't shy away from the bold or unique, which really allowed me to use all my creative ideas when designing their home. Originally a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom, we transformed this apartment into a home. We excavated the basement and added a master bedroom suite ( bedroom + Bath), 1 bedroom, and office and another bathroom making this now a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house!
When a Star Wars loving, music listening, cocktail aficionado bachelor moved from his New York City apartment into a new home in the Mission Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco, he knew he needed some help making this perviously owned pad feel like his own.
While it was crucial to incorporate all his "must haves" to make it feel like home, I found it necessary to make his child hood obsession sophisticated but also subtle, not so scare off any potential ladies :) Highlighting the architectural detail with dark trim, created a perfect canvas for displaying his Star Wars paraphernalia ( that flocked Star War toile Wallpaper, though!) and music posters from his time working in the music industry.

With a baby on the way, I had 6 weeks to design two bathrooms and complete the renovation before the baby arrived. Typically a bathroom remodel takes 8-10 weeks so this was going to be tight completing two within this short timeline. I love a good challenge, so I was excited to welcome this project to my plate.
