I hate leaving bad reviews but feel like I don’t have a choice. We rented the Carpe Beachem House in August and were very disappointed with the house itself and the management at Pawley Island Realty. The house itself was filthy and smelled bad. Since there were no reviews I had called to ask the realty company about it and felt that I was mislead. The house was filthy: kitchen covered in grease, stained comforters, layers of dust on fans/everything, kitchen utensils gross, showers and bathroom were gross and had clothes from previous renters in it. I called PIR and explained the situation. They

My extended family and I have been renting from this company for many years...we've been coming here for thirty years so definitely a long time. Every year we reserve the house we stayed in the year before so that we know we have somewhere to stay. This time our reservation was overlooked and we were offered a different house.

I was the buyer and Dana Parker was the seller's agent. I've purchased 12 houses in my lifetime. This was the first time I have ever really thought much about the sellers agent as a buyer, but I guess when the sellers agent is good you don't really notice. In our case, not only did she drop the ball on occasion, she also tried to blame the attorney, her seller, and my agent. Basically everyone but herself as to why the sellers paperwork was holding up closing.

My extended family has been renting vacation homes from Pawleys Island Realty every 2 or 3 years for the past 20 years. We are always pleased with the quality of the process (website sign-up, prices, availability) and with the quality of the homes. Each different house has been unique but still felt like home for the week of our vacation. It's nice to rent through a professional, established agency. We are looking forward to renting from Pawleys Island Realty. We go every year and this year twice. The staff members are very professional and accommodating. It is my childhood beach and I am happy there is a realty company with so many choices and easy to deal with so that I can return over and over.
