In the upstate of SC, it's the perfect family-friendly RV park for vacationing or to organize a large group event or rally. This is a walk or run at your pace event so it's fun for any age! The entry fee for this race is a bag of candy for trick or treating. Palmetto Cove is a member-owned, non-profit campground originally founded as an Airstream campground and designed for large rallies.
We are nestled at the very edge of the Blue Ridge Escarpment, with river access, and near the intersection of two famously scenic roads (SC-11 and US-276). You'll love the many attractions in and around Palmetto Cove. There's hiking in the numerous State Parks and Nature Preserves. Excellent mountain biking can be found in nearby Dupont State Forest.

Services
Palmetto Cove is open for the 2021 season and will be open through mid-November. Camp sites are 19 to 20 feet wide. If you need more space for slide-outs and awnings, please reserve two sites. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year.
Although our sites have newer electric wiring and water lines, the size of the sites was determined before we had so many amenities on our RVs! Interestingly, Palmetto Cove was originally opened as a resort dedicated to Airstream enthusiasts.

Table Rock State Park fits the bill for the natural beauty attributed to scenic Highway 11. The towering mountain, which gives the park its name, serves as a backdrop for the 3,000 acre park and its facilities. DuPont State Recreational Forest, commonly known as DuPont Forest, is a 10,473-acre state forest, located in Henderson and Transylvania counties of North Carolina.

If you want a mountain view, this isn't the place. Originally built for Airstreams that are around 8.5 feet tall not 5th wheels that are 13 feet tall. The view from my camper was of a fiberglass wall. I could see the view if I walked into the road.
Park was not built for newer campers with slides, sights are too close together. At most they should never exceed putting a camper on every other sight. On some sights, less than 2 feet between the awning on one and the slide out on the next camper. Kinda like the campgrounds at the beach, but without the beach to go to. I take that back, there is more

Such a wonderful time at Palmetto Cove. We always take a road trip before the kids go back to school, but this year was special, we have an RV… 😱so it wouldn’t be any different this year. We left Boca Raton FL with hopes to find the perfect RV destination, well we did it. We decided to head north to the mountains. As we approached Georgia I goggle places to RV with fool hookups and several places came up. Didn’t look at pictures or reviews much, just decided to head to Palmetto Cove. Best decision ever. AMAZING people, super friendly. When you arrive they guide you to your spot and help

We love Palmetto Cove. We enjoyed our stay last week. It's so peaceful and beautiful.
The only thing we don't like is the campsites are too small. If you have another camper beside you, you have no room hardly at all. Next time we camp we will rent two sites for more room. Last September when we camped, had the guy beside us been camping we would not even been able to open our awning for his slides.
That is the only negative we have. Everyone is friendly and so willing to help. Nancy is the best at helping you also!
