The service was awful. The waitress didn't pay any attention to any detail. She was in the back 1/2 the time texting. Finally after 10 min waiting for a check qe just went up to the front to pay. NO TIP WAS LEFT!!! The food was not authentic Mexican at all. The beans, salsa, tortillas were all store bought. If I wanted beans from a can I would have went to the store. Taco bell was better then this place. Avoid at all cost.

I didn’t take a picture because i immediately told the lady what was up. Dismiss the check or this post stays up for review.

Stopping in the middle of nowhere land, Beaver, Utah: I expected a meal barely better than fast food. Boy was I wrong!
I went in with a party of 6. I ordered shrimp tacos. They were amazing. Perfect seasoning and texture. The food was fresh and delicious.
Everyone else in the party had their expectations blown away as well. We ordered a variety of entrees from the menu . I recommend stopping and say it’s worth the stop. I will definitely go back. My friend said he’d even made the drive from Salt Lake to Beaver

Delicious! You have to stop and get Mexican food here in Beaver. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The restrooms were very clean. Our server was attentive, friendly and our food came out quickly. Kan Kun Shrimp tacos were fantastic. We will be back!

Wow, what a surprise! We stopped here on our trip through beaver and were blown away. We did not expect the quality of the food we got. The chips and salsa were good too. The fajitas were on point and the shredded beef chimichanga wasn't bad either. Next time we drive through this area I will be voting to stop here again.

Problem with prices. There were 5 of us. My son ordered chips with cheese. I got a bean burrito. We ordered 3 sodas, no booze. So, for those 5 meals and 3 sodas is came to $110 for lunch. I'm not sure how that happens, but it threw me a bit. $22 each plate. Food was nothing special. Waitress was nice.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! We ordered take out from here and the service was fast and amazing the food great and delicious! I got the beef fajitas and they were AMAZING! Chips are nice and thin (my personal favorite) and veggies were cooked perfectly, not overcooked and soggy. I am not sure about everything else because this was what I tried, but definitely would recommend it if your in the area! The only reason for docking a star is because typically portions are a bit bigger and the beans and rice really lacked in flavor. Otherwise it would be a 5 star for sure!

The servers were so friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing! Seriously. It is HARD to find good Mexican food. Who would have thought a little town like Beaver could deliver so fantastically! We definitely look forward to stopping there again on our next trip!

I was so happy to have Mexican food and it be good and tasty. I've eaten in a couple of Mexican food restaurants where the rice was hard and the beans were scortched. Not here! Amazing food. I highly recommend KanKun Restaurant in Beaver to everyone. Right off I -15 and very reasonable. And oh! So! Yummy!

Food is okay but the prices are misleading and outrageous for the quality. My chicken quesadilla with rice and beans cost $18 - ridiculous. Service was extremely poor, practically had to beg for chips and salsa. Baskets of chips were halfway full. Server acted like I was an idiot when I asked for sour cream to go with my quesadilla that was supposed to come with sour cream. When I inquired about the insane nearly $20 weekday lunch, the server would not negotiate the price at all. Don't waste your time here, you could get a much better value elsewhere.

The shrimp cocktail was off the chain. I lived in Mexico for a year when I was in college, and the shrimp cocktail was super authentic and fresh. I paired it with the guacamole dip and fresh, hot tortilla chips. It's now my go-to stop when I drive between Salt Lake and St. George.

I have been to this res any times and until now I have been satisfied. However, yesterday we went for an early dinner with my sister and her husband. The service was rude and poor. The servers seemed to want to get us out quickly. The bowl of chips they served was only half full and when we asked for a refill it came only a third filled. The server would interrupt our conversation to ask if we wanted more water by slapping my wife on the shoulder. We did not at anytime feel welcome. It has been our tradition to go to Kan Kun every other week when my sister comes down. We will not be back.

Immediately no one should have to pay extra for chips after two servings are provided free. The salsa was nothing special that was complimentary. Our waitress asked if we wanted a side of guacamole we didn't realize we had to pay for it until it had been provided with no extra chips. It's annoying that they were so stingy with the chips especially since our children love chips. No silverware was provided when we first sat down. The appetizer was served with a steak knife pointing outwards it came mere inches afrom my purse and myself as well as my son. When we received our dinner. My

I have driven past this restaurant for years. Not any more. The service is quick and friendly. The chips and salsa excellent. And the main courses very good. I had the carne asada dish; my wife a burrito. I judge Mexican food by a) the rice and beans and b) the chips and salsa. The are the test of the overall quality of the food. Both met with my approval as being very good.

So glad we discovered this restaurant while passing through on a road trip. We were sat immediately. The waitress was very kind. The chips and guacamole are sooooooo yummy!! And my chicken taco was one of the best tacos I've ever had. The shredded beef enchilada was also very delicious. And the margarita hit the spot. We will definitely be back here when passing through again! Great find!!

Overall- solid restaurant. Good quality food and a clean space.

We took a chance on this restaurant since we were tired of "roadtrip food". While initially skeptical (early and limited reviews) the food was good. Steak quality was good, the guacamole and rice were legit. Food was not super salty which was a plus. Flavors are a mix of central and coastal (Yucatan) Mexico...not spicy, more on the tangy (chile verde enchiladas) or sweet side (fajitas). Recommend the "Asada signature dish" and the "fajitas". Price was about $13-$15 for each of those dishes. Some

I went here for lunch and must say that food tasted alright, I would come back for taste but portions were kinda small for the price and water tastes very chlorinated. Service was friendly.
Over all I would come back here for taste but not after a hard working day because meals won't fill you up just to small.

This place must be vindicated! It feels a little odd giving a 5-star review to an establishment that only has two 1-star ratings, but I'm telling you, this place has the best fried ice-cream that I've ever eaten in my entire life!

I am originally from Utah and have eaten here a few times over the past several years. Their Mexican food is pretty solid. I don't think it was bland like others have complained about. It wasn't the best Mexican food ever, but it was fresh and hit the spot, especially after a long drive.

I recommend to any person who travels through Beaver Utah

I'd give it no star but I can't. It was late, we were hungry, and we still had another few hours to get home.

To sum it up, the food is bland and does not taste fresh. It IS edible :-) and the staff was friendly.

Note to self: trust your fellow yelpers when you see a 1 star and more than 1 review...

You've been warned.

A buddy and I wanted mexican food so we thought we would try this place out and ended up being very disapointed! It took awhile for someone to greet us, took 5 to 10 minutes for our drinks to get to our table and then there was maybe 10 to 15 chips for chips and salsa and the salas was gone just like that after 15 chips max. I got a chicken and a ground beef enchaldias not much flavor, I ended up just adding some hot sause to get some flavor.
The Burritto my friend had was huge but once again he said there was no flavor and it was the worst burritto he had ever had. It was a little expensive for
