I had visited PLRG a few times prior to the pandemic but have honestly shopped more frequently through Instagram. It's addicting to check their stories. I absolutely love this store and although it's not close and has limited business hours, I'm happy to go out of my way for a business that prioritizes.
I don't even live in Arizona but I drove to meet a friend and happen to stop in to kill some time. I found so many beloved dresses and now I follow them on. I have been shopping and consigning at PLRG for YEARS now (back when they had the Arcadia location). I also consign at My Sister's Closet. I'm surprised to.

Opened in 2008 on Seventh Street, by John and Catharine Raslavsky, "Petite Armoire" soon became "Poor Little Rich Girl" and a second shop was opened in Arcadia in 2009. In 2010 the original store relocated to 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. Over the years the store has grown and adapted to our shoppers likes and needs.

While we look through your items, please feel free to shop. We ask that you not linger at the buy counter, as it makes it hard for our buyers to focus on your items.

I came here after complimenting my neighbor’s Mother jeans. She said she got them here. I just moved here and was looking for a second hand store to sell too.
Normally with second hand stores like this I just sell my items and leave without shopping but I was pleasantly surprised to find a great selection of brands I love. I sold 8 items and left with a Paige dress, For Love & Lemons sweater and $21. I also tried on a few Reformation items.
I do wish a little more was offered for the cash out option. But considering I actually like shopping here the 50% store credit option is good too.

I firmly believe that if these consignment stores paid a decent cash/trade to their customers they would have a better selection of brands and you would feel more inclined to shop there. The greed is astonishing! You can’t expect to pay pennies for the sought after high end brands. The clothes I brought were NWTand NWOT that would have been purchased immediately because they are casual and office appropriate. Let’s not kid ourselves in Arizona hardly anyone wears winter clothes, so it’s a little premature to be buying winter clothing. They had bread and butter brands that seemed out of date

Pleasant staff, clean store, and clothes are in good condition.
I would say that on some items the price is a little too high in regards to brands sold, but I found a nice top and a pair of pants to experiment with, $17 each, and both in decent condition, so that was nice.
My one suggestion to the owner would be for them to take out those gaudy items with all-capped words on them like water bottles that say THIS ISN'T VODKA or blocky wall signs that say PLANT MOM and have a bunch of poorly drawn succulent on it. That sort of product and decor gives off a pretty cheap vibe.

This boutique has absolutely terrible customer service. I sold a bundle of high end purses and received $275 worth of store credit to find out on a later trip that there are restrictions that no one informed me about. If I would have known I would of took my business some place else. I can only use my credit on clothes which only makeup 1/2 of the products in the store. This is not even including the terrible return policy they emplaced since covid hit. They are greedy and now I am stuck with $200 credit for a store that I wish I didn’t give my business to due to their lack of cashier training

This shop does not accurately describe items and their return policy is terrible. They had posted on their Instagram a north face down jacket which I bought. It was too hot to use until recently and when I pulled it out it didn’t feel right and I checked the tag and it said polyester fill NOT down. The tag also stated it was from 2011. That’s ten years ago!!!! They refuse to give me a refund and only offered a 90% store credit. I needed specifically a down jacket for backpacking this weekend and now I’m out $50 because they deceived me.
