Credit unions are very different financial institutions compared to traditional banks. Credit Union of Ohio is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned by the people who save and borrow with us. Unlike other financial institutions, a credit union operates solely for the member's benefit and not for a privileged group of stockholders.
The volunteer board of directors is made up of members who are democratically elected by their peers to serve a three-year term. These elected directors are your governing voice in the credit union and act on your behalf to create and maintain a sound, stable cooperative. Credit Union of Ohio was organized in 1967 to serve employees of the State of Ohio.

Normally, I enjoy my time going into talking with everyone & depositing a check. But today was horrible! They would not cash a personal financial check made out to me! So I am disgusted with your institution. I am very concerned you will not let me have access to my account when needed. And stop changing what needs to be on my own check, in order to have it deposited! Yuk. Don’t know if I am going to stay with you guys

The worst financial institution in terms of credit union banking I have ever dealt with. Operates much more like a greedy, vindictive, predatory corporate bank than a local CU. Other CUs offer customers courtesy, appreciation and protection that banks do not. Not this CU. Not even for their long time customers whose money they have grown their business off of. Punishments galore with zero rewards- even during this global covid crisis. AVOID.

I have been a member of Credit Union of Ohio for almost 20 years and I will continue to bank there indefinitely - here's why. From day one, I have received nothing but professional, courteous and friendly service as well as super great rates on credit cards, auto loans and most recently a home equity loan. Application processed are easy, painless and are always processed quickly. Any time I have ever had questions, I send a quick email and my questions are always answered with very quick turnaround. When I have need to talk to someone via phone, I am always able to connect with an actual person

I support credit unions; however, I do not recommend this branch. I have a car loan, and for the past three months when I have been dropping off my check (yes, setting up automatic payments is a true pain!), I have asked the teller to confirm that my payments were up to date. Every time I was told that, yes, indeed, all payments were current. Nonetheless, I was also told that I had a late charge of $25. Every time the teller explained that this was an error, and I shouldn't worry. When I received the same explanation again today, I asked the teller called her superior, who checked my

I REALLY wanted to have a good experience here. I love the idea of local credit unions, but they just didn't measure up to my needs.
Online and mobile banking is a must these days (and I can't remember the last time I wanted to physically go to a branch), and they are still behind the curve when it comes to functionality. To register for the online site, they give you both a membership number and a username, but really only the membership number is needed, and this confusion locked me out of my account for a while. There is a limit of $1000 on mobile check deposits, and the app is AWFUL

I have always found the Credit Union to be a great institution, competent and friendly, but today I am writing specifically to commend Amy, an employee who worked with me over the phone to resolve a tricky log-in problem. The problem resulted from a glitch in the password management function of a newly installed security program on my computer (it has since been fixed by the company), but at the time that I called the Credit Union, live support from the company was unavailable and it was imperative right then for me to access my account. I found it difficult to explain the odd issues I was running

I have only had my account open for about 6mos and am looking for another place to bank. This branch does not have knowledgeable staff and the process for accessing your money is quite antiquated. They deduct maintenance fees for savings! Plus, the tellers can't even agree what counts as ID! When this happened to me, I didn't get an apology. Just excuses. Even when this branch is empty, you will still be kept waiting!
Although they finally put together an app, their technology leave much to be desired. The application for a loan is not forthcoming and asking for help is a joke. For
