Dr. Kevin Hallgren was born and raised in Kalamazoo. Growing up in and around his father's orthodontic practice, he saw firsthand the satisfaction and joy that a perfect smile can bring to someone's life. The ability to positively impact the lives of others on a daily basis was the driving factor that inspired him to follow in his father's footsteps, and pursue a career as an orthodontist.
A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation to demonstrate their judgment, skills and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care.
They have achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists.

We utilize the latest technology in orthodontics to make sure your experience with us is a pleasant one. Gone are the days of gagging on impression material. The iTero digital scanner can capture a perfect digital impression of your teeth every time, without all the mess. The 3D images captured with the scanner can then be printed on the in office Formlabs 3D printer to shorten turn around times.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Hallgren Orthodontics. I was very impressed throughout my treatment -- with Dr. Hallgren, his friendly and helpful staff, and the comfort and cleanliness of the office. Although the majority of his clientele tends to be tweens and teens, he is also experienced and proficient with considerably older patients, like me. I recommend them highly.

We’ve been visiting Hallgren Orthodontics for years now...first my daughter, then my son, and finally myself. Our experience here has been absolutely amazing. You couldn’t ask for a more caring and thoughtful group of folks! Dr. Hallgren always listens and takes time to understand all of our different needs and concerns. I would literally start the whole process over again if I had to with Hallgren Orthodontics!! I built an everlasting friendship with the entire staff. I felt completely comfortable with my treatment asking any/all questions, and with the advice I was provided. Once my braces were removed I needed further work done which was provided to me at no cost. I’m sad my treatment has ended, but I am forever thankful that I trusted Hallgren Orthodontics with the process!! I am obsessed with my new smile! I will ALWAYS recommend this establishment to others

By far one of the best orthodontist clinics around here. The staff is always friendly and able to assist you with anything you need. Everything is simple, and there are short wait times. I love the atmosphere of everyone working there and I can tell they work hard for their patients. They’ve done an excellent job straightening my teeth and I’ve been more than impressed so far :)

Dr. Hallgren and his amazing staff are hands down one of the most friendly, efficient, clean & professional offices I have had the pleasure of doing business with. They not only focused on executing quality care, but also took the time to listen to my concerns, made my kids feel important and they spent ample time sharing their findings and recommendations for treatment. In addition, the front office staff especially helped me personally by going above and beyond (an understatement) with ironing out insurance issues and would not give up until the issues were satisfactorily settled. Dr. Hallgren and his staff are amazing!!! Always willing to answer our questions and make sure we feel comfortable with treatment plans. Having a child with a cleft lip and palate has enough challenges on its own, but Dr. Hallgren has made getting braces easier on my daughter and myself. I would recommend his office to anyone who is looking for an orthodontist!

Since day one, everyone here has been so helpful, patient and understanding with my whole process! They did a great job informing me of all the changes that would take place during this transition. This was going to be a long journey and he promised that if I hung in there for the process, my smile would be completely transformed, and I would be very satisfied with the results! Well....Today was exciting! Time for my BIG reveal!😬My heart raced, and Wow was I surprised and almost in tears to see the smile I used to dream of and finally now have!I I don’t have to hide my smile anymore! 😬
