Cathleen Forcucci-Heideman was the founder and long-time director of Cathleen Forcucci Dance Academy (now known as CF Dance Academy). Miss Cathy was a fully accredited teacher with the Cecchetti Council of America and received certification with the Cecchetti Society of America ISTD, their international affiliation.
Miss Cathy also taught with the City of Anaheim for twenty-two years. She directed the studio for many years with the support of her loving husband William Heideman. Now, C.F.D.A. is owned and directed by Miss Cathy's daughters Jennifer Forcucci-Marzluf and Leanna Forcucci. CF Dance began with 50 students, and has now grown to service close to 700 students every year.

Services
CF Dance Academy is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the historic Williams Building, in downtown Fullerton on Harbor and Commonwealth. It was built in 1927 as an Oddfellows Hall and has now been renovated to modernize the building for its current use as a dance studio and banquet venue. Our third floor has 2 large dance studios with a total of 5000 square feet.
A diamond that shines among the darkness within the dance industry! CF is the definition of leaders, not followers, as they refuse to compromise the healthy development of your child in order to keep up with the ever growing trends of putting overtly sexualised movement on their dancers and using music with degrading messages and lyrics.
Parent and child will participate together in this class designed to involve the parent in the very beginning process of dance training with your child. This class will include creative pre-school exercises, song and dance routines, and dance related games. Children will be introduced to basic ballet movements while developing coordination, body control, and self-discipline.

DISAPPOINTED and UPSET!
We enrolled my 4 yr daughter in the Hip Hop Class which she was very excited for.
*Pick-up: My husband and I were very concerned with the way the students are all dismissed at once. All the children ran out into the parking lot at once and no one really supervises as to who is there for which child. Anyone could have grabbed my child. Also, staff/teachers are not very welcoming. I was going to ask how her first day went and they were all very unapproachable.
* I asked my child how class went and what her teachers names were but she stated they didn't introduce

My daughter has been taking classes here for the last 3 1/2 years. She has taken hip hop and ballet/tap classes and she has absolutely loved it. She has grown as a dancer and performer and is always happy to go to the studio. She loves all her teachers and the friends she has made in her classes. During this past year and a half, CF has worked endlessly to make sure that all students still had a way to participate in dance classes safely. They have done a great job of keeping parents informed of all protocols while also creating an engaging space where our kids can continue to dance without any

It was supposed to be my daughter’s first day. We got in the exit because there are NO SIGNS AT ALL, but the lady told us to go back down and use the entrance even though we’re there inside already. I had to take my 5yr old downstairs and go upstairs again and used the main entrance. When we got upstairs there were 3 parents ahead of me.. And it was my turn to check in, the lady told me that they can’t take me and my daughter because we don’t have a mask knowing she already saw me without one already. Its just frustrating! After that my daughter cried on the way home because she was so

Our daughters have been dancing at CF for 11 years. It has been a great experience for all of us. The teachers do a great job teaching the different dance techniques while still making it fun. We love watching the spring and winter performances almost as much as our girls love performing in them. But the reason I'm finally leaving a review is because CF helped keep some normalcy for our daughters during the whole Covid pandemic. With not much open and not much to do, our girls were still able to participate in zoom classes and when safe they were able to have in person classes which kept them active

If I could give more stars I would. We have been with CF for 3 years now. In the long term, I have seen so much growth and development in my daughter who used to be shy reserved. She has blossomed into a confident young woman ready to tackle the world, and I owe that in large part to her training at CF. They are professional, they remember your name, the teachers are diligent, supportive, clear, and such great role models for the kids. My daughter has had the pleasure of working with over 4 teachers at her time here, even the peer mentors are wonderful. The studio is great, clean, and organized

Our daughter has been dancing at CF since she was 4 years old….she is now 11. The staff is energetic, enthusiastic, and most of all caring. Irregardless of the genre the kids dance there is amazing support and camaraderie among the dancers as well as the staff. The Directors Ms. Leanna and Ms. Jennifer, display genuine care for ALL of their dancers. In addition, they also help with instilling good manners and discipline for our kids. It really is a fun family oriented setting. Covid times have brought some hardships to humanity, and through all of this CF has risen even more in order to provide

My daughter has been attending CF dance for about 5 years. She has grown so much in technique and confidence. The teachers are awesome. They care so much about our students. I can't thank them enough for the support and positivity they have provided my daughter especially over the craziness of the past year! It truly is a family here! We highly recommend it here!!

I cannot recommend this studio enough! The teachers and staff are beyond caring and communicative. They know the dancers and create a family atmosphere where students feel safe and loved. CF Dance has become my daughter's home away from home and her confidence and dance abilities have grown beyond my expectations.

I can not say enough good things about this dance school. My daughter has not missed a class in 3 years. The staff is amazing and my daughter loves it. The shows are so wonderful, they find a way to make everyone special. My 6 year old dream is to be a teacher at this school. I highly recommend to all my friends and family!

What a mess of a studio.
Front desk was not helpful or friendly and sent us to the wrong room for our first class. Nobody communicated required dress for our dancer (toddler ballet/tap combo) so my daughter was the only dancer in a black leotard. Nobody ever told me this was a problem until later my daughter informed me her teacher mentioned it to HER at almost every class. Um, shouldn't you tell the person buying the outfit to correct it? Not a 4 year old.
The lounge and waiting area for parents is a joke. Not enough chairs so you sit in the larger studio on wooden bleachers where

My daughter has been coming here for ballet & tap for almost three years (she will be 5 soon). I chose this studio because other reviews said the teachers will actually teach them to dance, not just tumble. We had tried a trial class at another ballet studio and all the kids did was play. Miss Jessica has been an awesome instructor and great at handling my daughter, who talks a LOT, can be loud and gets distracted easily. The front desk ladies are cool and easy to talk to as I know absolutely nothing about dance. We just did our first holiday show. It was super easy and the show was amazing

I love how inclusive they are. They offerered a special needs dance class and my son absolutely enjoyed his time there. The staff was absolutely amazing and the dancers that they used as buddies were patient and kind. This was my sons first dance class and he enjoyed it. Thank you CF Dance for being inclusive and for having awesome buddies. :)

CF Dance Academy is more than just a dance studio. The leadership and teachers are dedicated and work very hard to help each student develop confidence and their own strengths. This takes time and you just have to trust the process and let them do what you are paying them to do.
Our girls are super drawn to the studio and are genuinely becoming the young women that they will be in part of their time at CF. We never have to push our girls to attend class and that is such a huge hurdle in comparison to other activities that they are involved in. CF plays a very important role in our girls&apos

This place was the worse place. I took mommy and me class, the teacher did not prepare the class. every sat. class was the same. No clear instruction to new parents and when they changed the location, no one provided the details of the new location. When I requested the refund for the class due to location changes, the front office did not explain the process and just referred to the manager who never gets back to me. it was total wasting money and time.

I had tried this place out. Ballet, eh. The teacher was nice but there wasn't any noticable technique. Jazz was fun, and despite there being many kids we went across the floor a lot. Only 5 levels of jazz and ballet isn't the most precise.
Two different locations and terrible parking. In one of the locations you can't even go through the front because ballet bars are in the way. You have to go all the way in the back. Very annoying and highly stressful when you're in a rush.
However, the teachers were nice and I would've continued if the place had a level 3 jazz class

Driving from Ontario to Fullerton for this place. Great place to take your toddler to learn dance and have fun.
We first started here with Creative Ballet a year and a half ago, since then have tried Tiny Tots Hip Hop and Tap and Ballet.
Teachers are great to work with. Miss Jessica is amazing with kids; she always shows enthusiasm, patience and respect. Not only do they teach form, but also everyday good behavior and respect to others. Same with Miss Leanna and Miss Skylar.
Kids have a warm up song before starting, have their lesson, then a small short fun game/cool down session afterwards

My daughter had so much fun at this years rock the beat. She looks forward to going to class every week and told me after the dance party that it was so much fun she wants to be like miss skylar and miss Leanna when she gets big! Thanks for having the patience with my crazy kid, and for making this experience such a joyous one for her. As a parent you can't ask for much more.

A few weeks ago my daughter was to start a dance class through the city so she could try out Hip Hop.
Normally I would complain to the city about how the class was cancelled but it was the way the CF Dance teacher handled the situation that upset me the most.
First off she sat on her phone for about ten minutes while all the children anticipated the class to begin.
Then she casually said "yeah class isn't gonna make cause there aren't enough kids, we need 8."
My daughter who remember is a child said to her," There are seven of us."
And she responded,"Well
