Established in 2015, Elevated Smiles is dedicated to providing the best dental care within the Carlsbad communities, by some of the top-rated dentists in San Diego. Our goal is to transform and elevate your dental experience to a whole new level, from the initial phone call to the final cleaning treatment.
After many years in Fairbanks, Anchorage is where I currently reside. My husband Mark and I share our love of Alaska's diverse summer and winter outdoor adventures along with our two adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Raven and Penny. After a 25 year career in the aviation industry, downsizing brought me the challenge and opportunity to discover a whole new field; dentistry.
Elevated Smiles uses state-of-the-art dental technology like laser dentistry to provide patients with a better experience and better results. If you're missing a tooth, a dental bridge can replace the missing tooth while being fixed to adjacent teeth or dental implants. We offer a full range of oral surgery and extraction options at our practice including wisdom tooth removal and bone grafts.
Dr. Thanh Luu is a Southern California native. He attended the University of California Los Angeles, where he received his degree in Molecular Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. After graduation, he conducted research in the field, but later decided to change his career and become a dentist.
To deliver on our promise of confident smiles, we are Carlsbad's premier dental office for dental exams, x-rays, cleanings, diagnosing tooth pain, and improving your smile through cosmetic dental services. We provide all of our patients with the highest level of care and the state-of-the-art technology.

Dr.Luu and his staff are the best!!! I’ve never been to such a great dental office.
EVER! Honestly I’ve never felt comfortable around any dr like I have with Dr.Luu. He doesn’t push services on you only recommends what’s absolutely needed! Can’t wait to come back and recommend my family here !

The office crew ( Kiley, Kara, Nancy and Cynthia) and Gia my hygienist did great. Gia was informative, thorough and gentle on a deep cleaning when I anticipated a different experience. The office crew handled my insurance and question because I am a new patient and accommodated my scheduling needs. Great job and pain free!

They want to extract as much money out of their clients as they can wring. I tried becoming a new patient and before I could event hit the chair for a cleaning they informed me they wanted to do detailed x-rays and since my insurance would only cover every 3 years I would be charged out of pocket cost. After understanding there were other x-rays they can take multiple times a year and be covered and that the full x-rays could be covered again by my next 6 month appointment I asked the receptionist if they could be flexible and do them next time as I was not suffering from any pain nor did I have

I love their dental hygenists. What I don't love is that I rarely see the dentists themselves but even worse is their accounting. I'm always having to pay additional after the fact even thought I ask after every visit to pay any co-pays, I continue to see bills asking for money after the fact. You'd think that after a while this would stop. It gets to the point where I begin to question their billing practices.

Awesome place! Very professional and the staff is friendly and easy to talk to. I had a root canal here and several cleanings (been going since 2019). Great quality service, the crown that was places is still holding strong with no issues. One thing I really appreciate is that they explain everything! They also break down the information in a way that makes it easy to make an informed decision. Thank you too all the staff here!

So i haven't been to a dentist since i was 16 after a terrible experience with western dental. I recently visited Elevated Smile to get much needed dental work done and must i say BEST DENTIST EVER!!!! Not only were they super gentle they were understanding of my fear and made me feel very comfortable. They also helped me set up a payment plan that was easy for me to make reasonable payments to cover the cost. They have amazing staff and the dentist that i saw Tina Saw was a so sweet. She told me every that was wrong with my mouth and didn't give me the run around and we made a plan together to

Typically coming to your dentist after a long year and seeing all new staff behind masks is a little heartbreaking as you build a relationship with the staff. This was the case today. But the new staff seemed very professional and friendly.
I was helped by Tasha, who took my X-ray and assisted Dr. Luu in figuring out why I was having pain. Tasha was wonderful! She made me feel comfortable and was very attentive. Dr. Luu is always very professional and explains everything very thoroughly.
I got a sealant for my tooth and that got rid of my sensitivity. They'll keep an eye on it and

Alas, when my usual dentist became "out of network" from my Dental Insurance I had a mini breakdown. The daunting task of searching the phone book, online listings, advertisements, personal referrals, etc for a new provider who takes my insurance and was accepting new patients was going to freaking drive me crazy!!! Arghhhhhh!!!!
Oh, but wait, I logged on to Yelp and found Elevated Smiles, which is located just minutes from my house, checked out their website, and made an appointment in just under 5 minutes

It has been 10 months since my last appointment, due to my contracting COVID-19 back in June. I was so glad to be able to get back in for my regular appointment and to see that their waiting room was socially distanced and not over crowded. They had so many new safety features/equipment and PPE to keep their staff and clients healthy. It was like a whole new SAFER way to do dentistry! Thank you Dr Saw and staff!!

I was in severe pain needing (2) Crowns and a Root Canal. I called up the emergency number and Dr. Thanh took my call. He listened patiently while I described my issues. He told me to meet him at his office at 3 pm that same afternoon and he would take care of me. What an amazing experience. (You will not find anybody more “passionate” about his work than Dr. Thanh). Every step of my procedure was carefully explained. In addition, his patient care was outstanding. Thank You Dr. Thanh.

This is a dental practice with two dentists, a husband and wife team. I have only been there for a couple visits so I am a relatively new patient. The front office is nice and welcoming and the staff is pleasant and friendly.
My husband and I moved here five years ago and were having a hard time finding a dentist we liked after seeing the same dentist for 17 years. We like this practice and hope to call them our dentists for a long time.

WOW- who goes to the dentist for an emergency procedure and leaves totally loving the visit??🙋♀️ Had a crown emergency and Elevated Smiles got me in quickly and got the crown done in one visit with no return needed! 🤩 From the initial call ☎️with the super friendly and efficient office staff, to the highly competent dental assistant/hygienist, to the stellar Dr. Tina Saw, everything went wonderfully smoothly🙌. I even got to catch up on my Netflix while they did the dental work! (Awesome headset 🎧 and big screen TV 🖥- woot!)

Elevated Smiles is family friendly and great with my kids. My daughter is usually scared of the dentists and at our last appointment she hopped into the chair with no issues.
