Bay Marine, Inc was established in 1972 by brothers Jim and Bob Bay at the corner of Bells Ferry Road and North Cobb Parkway. In 1985, we moved to our present location at 2394 North Cobb Parkway in order to better serve our customers. Bob Bay retired from the business in 1993 and Angi Bruton, Jim's daughter, came in as Jim's partner.
Greg Matson joined as a partner in 2006. All partners are available to address our customer's needs. I was having a problem with my boat...well several problems recently. Terry was nice enough to take some time and talk to me. Whether or not his suggestion works, his time and attention has earned my business for good. I will be purchasing all of boating needs at Bay Marine and I'll be spreading the word to my fellow tournament fisherman. I already know their prices are competitive since I buy XD100 oil there. I bought a small outboard and I’m sure I was the small fry of all the customers they deal with, but they were great and spent lots of time with me showing me the motor. They were responsive on the phone calls leading up to the sale. Having zero experience with a motor I feel very comfortable with their post-sales service (should I need any). Thanks Greg and Team! I recently had a very good experience with Bay Marine and wanted to write a quick review.
I was doing the annual maintenance on my Yamaha outboard and noticed that there was some damage to the water pump housing and wanted to replace it.
I am in the Chattanooga area and jumped on the phone and called every local dealer and no one had the part I needed. This was late on a Saturday morning and I didn't want to have to leave my lower unit disassembled long enough to order a part and I couldn't finish servicing the motor with the lower unit sitting on the bench.
So I did a quick search and Bay Marine

We bought a 27 foot Manitou Pontoon from Bay Marina for the labor day 2020 weekend. We love the boat. Besides the awesome boat, it needs to be said that the customer service at Bay Marina is amazing. I don't write these often, in fact this may be my first. I am so absolutely disgusted with Bay Marine and the situation they put me in. I purchased a Evinrude E-tec outboard 3 years ago so it was due for maintenance. I live 5 mins from Bay Marine so I wanted to take it there. I call to get pricing for the maintenance and it 2 times higher than the other Evinrude certified dealers, Gwinnett Marine and Boat and Motors of Dalton. They wanted to charge me over $1,100 dollars for the maintenance while the other 2 shops wanted $550. Neither of the other shops could even fathom why they would

Can't speak for sales but service was an absolute nightmare. I inquired 4/20 to set up service to replace an impeller. They told me they couldn't see me until 5/9. Seemed like a long wait but at the beginning of the season I can understand. Brought the boat in and was told there were 8 people ahead of me but it should be done by the end of the week. Called Sat 5/13 and was told there were still 6 jobs ahead of me. When I asked how they only got 2 jobs done in 28 working hours I was told we do them in order of arrival. We just purchased a Manitou Oasis Angler pontoon from Bay Marine. We had never operated a boat, let alone owned a boat prior to this. Greg spent at least an hour with me the first time I visited and then stayed late that same day to show my wife various boats along with explaining all the nuances of boat ownership . This is a great place to take your boat. I have been using them for years and they do amazing service. This last time I had my boat serviced, detailed, and got a new prop. They really know what they are doing. I love that every time I come in I see the same faces. This is a great family business and a gem to the community.
